  • This stuff is better the Ehow, and Expert village.Keep it going

  • @kantcus357 Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking time to write to us and for tuning in! We always have more videos in edit, so stay tuned.......

Until next time, good luck and good fishing.

  • @thundermistlures thank u guys to for taking your fishing time to talk to us and show us skills on how to fish

  • what kind of line where you using and what pound test? also what color was that rapala tail dancer? also where you flat line trolling or something something else?

  • @SuperShweet14 I believe on that day were were running 14 lb mono, Mustad brand. the tail dancer was their clown color, but they do not seem to have this particular clown pattern any more, so you may have to find some old stock somewhere.

As for technique, we were simply flat line trolling (using no weights)

Thanks for writing in and good luck on the water!

  • @toontownforever2 Sometimes we keep the fish and other times we practice catch and release.....we like to do both - mind you, we really enjoy a nice fish fry!

  • What brand/kind of body bait is that that you show around the 2:00 minute mark of the video?

  • @nmigliore That was a Rapala tail dancer - thanks for writing in and good luck on the water

  • What motor were u using to troll?

  • @Kernoutlaw88 I was using the Honda 150, 4-stroke.....although it's not really intended to troll with, it did a great job, idling down to 3 mph!

  • @thundermistlures if you want to troll down even more tie a bucket or two off and throw em behind the boat

  • @cybillify Thaks for sharing your tips with us and our viewers! Until next time, good luck and good fishing.

  • hey i was wondering if u could tell me what location u guys were at and other locations for lake trout , what month is the peak season for lake trout, what line to use, some types of bait to use, depths, and what rods and reels to use. thanks

  • @hai768 We were fishing the western end of Lake Ontario near the Niagara river. A peak time could include mid April to mid May. Ten to 14 lb. mono on a spin cast rod & reel will work & troll with deep diving body baits in 20 -30 ft. of water. Bait casting rods & reels with 30 lb. braid & 10 lb fluorocarbon leader will also work for you. Rods should be medium heavy to heavy action & a minimum of 6ft.in length. Thanks for your inquiry.

  • @hai768 jesus christ are you serious man?

  • terrible releases, twisting the fishes spine and ploppin em in the h2o like that with no revival

  • @Saltwaterfishnvideos you dont need to revive them if theyre all ready fighting you when you are about to let go of them.....the less time you are in contact the better

  • what type of rod are you using for the first and second catch.

  • @fao123456 Both of those fish were caught using salt water rods - they are called the salt striker rod from Cabela's.

Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for writing in. Until next time, good luck and good fishing.

  • Keep on trolling.

  • @leonid1995 We surely plan to. Thanks!

  • i caught a 20 inch redeye bass which almost broke my rod after on my next cast when it got stuck on some rocks, better stop using the old hook system and move on to lures

  • @Snipenza Lures can produce some amazing fish! Good fishing!

  • what boat are you guys using?

  • @largemarge1050 We were in a "key West" bay/reef boat....19 1/2 foot, center console.

Nice boat - handles big water very well.

Thanks for writing in and good luck on the water!

  • Hey Ivo, just so you know, if you hold a big fish like a laker by the gill cover alone, you may damage their gill arch. Please try to support the fish with your other hand while handling fish like muskies and lakers. Thankyou.

  • @TheGenofan7 Thanks for writing in and sharing you tip. Keeping you fingers out to the gills is a must and just under the gill cover is o.k. and certainly better when you also support the back side with your other hand.

Thanks again for writing in and sharing you tip with us. Until next time, good luck and good fishing.

  • i caught a 24 inch lake trout is tht big and it was big in width im 14

  • @bptchargers That's a nice healthy fish. Good catch!

  • @thundermistlures thank you it was on one of the charter

  • What exactly is a lamprey?

  • @797bj A lamprey is an eel-like fish that has a suction mouth with many teeth in which they attach themselves to a fish and feed on its blood. Thanks for your inquiry.

  • i was trolling in my home lake, lake huron.and we were geting some nice lakers and choohoo...do u ever fish lake horon...its great for all species..i also love drop shoting for smallies..ps great vids!!

  • what the heck could have given it that gash?

  • @MoreSnakes we believe it may have been a lamprey as this fish was covered with other older lamprey marks.

That was quit a big gash. We were very surprised.

Thansk for writing in & good fishing!

  • Just a question here, how heavy line do you use??

  • @Barry52811 For those bigger lake trout, we were running 15lb and 18 lb and 20 lb test line - we had different rods with different pound test line. All these set up are fine for this type of fishing.

thanks for writing in & good luck on the water!

  • you guys got bit at 2:59

  • yeah i saw.

  • Best fishing show online! Great job

  • Thanks! Good luck on the water!

  • I caught a 25 pound chinook on a stream east of Toronto, and lost a 40 pounder which was maybe the biggest salmon I've seen in that river.

  • Those are huge fish! Salmon fishing will be in full swing in the streams any time now. Good fishing!

  • You too, tight lines.

  • holy cow! the mark on that first fish must have been left by one big ass lamprey!!

  • Or maybe more than one. Thanks for writing & good fishing!

  • Oh man...I got a cold..Im going fishing Saturday though. Hope I get over it. Oh, Thanks ThundermistLures for a sweet vid, btw.

  • Thanks and hope you have a great day on Saturday! Good fishing!

  • We think it may be a fresh lamprey(s) wound that hasn't healed yet. Thanks for writing and good fishing.

  • you should do some king salmon

  • We probably will some day. Good fishing!

  • awesome fish, you guys must be spoiled by the size of fish you catch, i if i was catching stuff half that size i'd be jumping with joy
