  • One of the best songs ever, and definedel THE best song of the 80s

  • /watch?v=mgcW5o0Vmr8&feature=related

Now, THAT's is a true audience.

  • does anyone know the month they played in tokyo just wondering btw bon jovi rock!

  • no se si la mejor canción de los '80 pero para mi está ahí nomas..

  • OK - just watched Korea 95 Blaze of Glory - and I'll admit THOSE are real backing vocals - but they are falsetto

  • Hey let's go see the stones without Keith.....kinda like Bon Jovi without Richie this year......

  • FUCKING AMAZING! FACT!!!!!

  • if you not like this you probably never seen the boys live, I did 3 times and they are still facking awesome

  • What a crock of shit! Nice sequenced backing vocals....I knew it....

  • @gsoltis29 are u stupid or something they are all singing it live

  • @gsoltis29 are u stupid or something they are all singing it live

  • @funkadelicchille Yeah I'm stupid - I'm the one who doesn't notice the drummer just happens be wearing headphones so he can hear his click track to stay in time with the sequencing....and the fact that Jon's voice is SUPER loud in the backing vocals even though he's running around like a jagoff and holding the mike three feet from his mouth....Get a clue before you comment moron. There are some people out there that actually know things about the music biz that you probably don't want to know...

  • @gsoltis29 And for what it is worth Richie saves his ass everysong...They had allot of balls playing shows without him this year.....he IS the band.....

  • @gsoltis29 you retard richie is awesome but jon needs fucking no one this guy is way above richie go listen to the blaze of glory album you cunt then you will see for your self you prick

  • @liverpoolfc65123 Sticks and stones my vulgar friend :)

  • @gsoltis29 Saves his ass every song? My brother said 'A great guitarist in a wrong band'!^^ Indeed, when Jon cannot hit the notes, he takes over with David (keyboards). Message to everyone: This is one of my favourite bands, but even when it is, you have to accept other people their oppinions and think about it. At least discuss it without starting to insult!!

  • @gsoltis29 first of all the headphones is his ear monitors which makes him hear the drums louder than the rest of the instruments and second the backingvocals are done by richie david and alec jon is just miming the high part in the chours but the rest is sung by him, nohing is prerecorded here ,you would know this if you knew anything about the music biz , get your facts straight before you comment moron

  • @funkadelicchille Just watched other songs from this tour.....not wearing headphones on other songs....I wonder if his floor monitors may be enough to hear his drums......ya think? ; )

  • @gsoltis29 you are stupid they are singing live you have to take into consideration that the mic could be very sensitive

  • @ledford1100 The end is the only part I'm talking about - when it modulates up......it's obviously him almost blowing his voice out on tape and he's barely putting anything into it.......I've always wondered how they do this part live....I know now....you can believe what you'd like....

  • @gsoltis29 First of all, I'm NOT going to rage in this comment to show you how much I dislike you talking about my favorite band like that! xD But I'd like to know what part you mean, so I can see for myself! :-) Do you mean the part after 4:40 when he sings 'We gotta hoooold ooooon'?

  • @idontknowanname It's nice to see someone who doesn't have to lower themselves to mindless vulgarities. What I am refering to is only the very end - "wo-oh living on a prayer"....You'll notice that half the time the camera convieniently shows the crowd or one of the other band members. If you listen to the studio track - you'll here the same backing track here for those. Jon's voice is at maximum output on the studio version - here he is barely breaking a sweat (voicewise that is)

  • @gsoltis29 You're right about the camera's showing the crowd during the 'wo-oh' part, but it still sounds a little bit different to me (I listen to the studio track and live version from 2005 daily^^). It might be that they have made a new studio track in an attempt to hide it :-) P.S.: I barely lower myself, since I know how silly I find people who do so. Grtz!

  • @idontknowanname Suprisingly I didn't think it would stir up so much sh*t as so many bands use sequenced backing vocals....motley crue is the worst offender by far.. :) At least these dudes are doing 99% from what i can tell. And you may be right - they do have the live vocals mixed in so it does sound a bit different. There is just allot of Jon mixed in and he is not straining at all from the few times I can see him. Even Alec is kinda shying away too of you notice just on those lines...

  • fuck, Jon is hot!

  • i LOVE Bon Jovi........ JBJ Forever!!!!

  • there is something raw about the delivery of this song in this performance...it's perfect!!

There is no fakery here -- this is real music is it not? Live too....

  • fuck man the only thing that i hate now is that when i used to be like 10 years old i used to sign this song and i could hit the high notes, now im 17 and i cant hit the high notes, not cool at all. but the memories are still there (:

  • you pone

  • this is the greatest band in the world! XD

  • why aren't live performances like this anymore.. seriously!

  • he's lip singing in the high parts of the chorus... nice performance though

  • @ll1992 yeah you can tell that can't you. goddamn

  • in the Japanese charts I saw sometime ago, Bon Jovi's songs still reach the top 100's...

The Japanese sure know what good music is... XD

  • @GenesicShinZyraelKai The japanese are whale killers

  • @troydeboy244 u watch too much south park buddy.

  • @JesseJayScott how do you mean?

  • @troydeboy244 cause theres a episode of Japs killing whales and dolphins but I was being sarcastic hahaha

  • @JesseJayScott XDDDDDDDD

  • stop acting like mick jagger

  • one of the few band who sounds just like on the record when they play live!!!

  • without a doubt, in my opinion, one of the best performance by bon jovi

  • The most iconic band of this generation (and all generations) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good song. and great job

  • BON JOVI.... the most energetic rock band in the 80's period

  • What happen to the audience at 3:10, where they sleeping or something, it was like they just totally ignore Bon on purpose man. Imagine how he felt after that happen, probably a little hurt and confuse too man.

  • @THANATOS112220 yeah, I can't understand them. If I would be there I would scream out my soul!

  • Someday, I will play a stadium this big. Mark my words. I'm bringing rock & roll back. I promise. I will never give up my dream.

  • i love the the talk box in the beginning and Jon sung the key change here, his voice didn't break, i listen carefully if he is lip singing, but hes not. one of great performance!!

  • yeah rock n roll baby!!!

  • @jawsh37 me too!! i will, i swear...you know, in my country they're not like....you know...a lot of opportunities of ''going big''...were planning to move to the states after maybe to years of practicing and playing gigs around here, and then, were planning on being discovered on the states. Were gonna bring rock n roll back together dude, im with ya'! R N'F R dude!

  • Alec Such R.I.P

  • @theRandomManiac what was he in the band

  • @bumblebeegurls9 he was the bassist of the band til 1994

  • 3:10 Audience FAIL

  • @Oub2 if that were me, i'd go Axl Rose on that crowd

  • recuerdos de la prepa por siempre cocuga

  • 18 retarded pricks!!! p.s. cool song :)))

  • And, 18 people have no life. Haha, they don't like this video, but they looked at it. Just, so ridiculous. Btw, I love BON JOVI. That's all.

  • They're the best band of all time.

  • 3:37 LOL!!!

  • You can say what you like; this song is about honour: "It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not". what do you think that's about? Just give it a shot, be brave and honourable, and no one can ever say that you ain't a man

  • How tall is Jon because my music teacher tells me he ius short, but i dont think hes short.

  • 1,77

  • he is 5 ft 10 inches,so he is average height

  • 5'10

  • I think he's like 6 foot? But he is the greatest no matter what!

  • Saw him at a John Kerry (ran for President) rally and Bon Jovi is not taller than 5' 8" which is how many inches shorter than 72?

Take my hand and we'll make it - I swear.. :)

  • I WILL :):)

  • hey this version its better than live in london and crush live version . i love it .

  • I LOVE THAT ELECTRIC SOUND !!!! at the beginning

    waao waaao waaaaoo

  • ya its called a talkbox :) and it does sound great

  • I agree aswell

  • I got one and there so much better than a wah pedal.

  • hey, ive been wondering how does it work

does he play the guitar n do the sounds over the top or does the sounds combine with the guitar

  • The guitar sound goes through the tube into your mouth and the microphone picks the sound up.

  • yes its the talk box

  • Are you talking about the main riff? He uses a talk box (a kind of guitar effect) to get the sound. so basically, every note is modified from booooo, to boooaahhh.

  • if u ever take ur cell phone (mobile) and put you're mouth up to the mic and move ur mouth it kinda gives a similar effect

  • yee dude .. u can make 1 really easy .. ive made about two so far .. what happens is .. u plug ur guitar into this box (talkbox) and the gutar sounds go threw the tube ,. and a mic has to be next to it to pick up the sounds coming out of your mouth to go threw the mic amp ..

  • lol great song :)

  • those background vocals arent richie that much.. its more david you hear, richie is backing up but its clearly that david sings the highest notes.. jon could do it to although, just wanted to save his voice :)

  • Yeah,now when you're asking....Really,who are tommy and gina??

  • apelaxx eres un pinche gringo pendejo go to tell your stupid things with sick people like you imbesil

  • who are tommy gina and frankie?

  • listen to the beginning of the song.

Tommy used to work on the docks

    Unions been on strike

Hes down on his luck...its tough, so tough

Gina works the diner all day

Working for her man, she brings home her pay

    For love - for love.

and i've heard something about frankie in It's my life

  • "Frankie" is Frank Sinatra!

Sinatra had a song called "I did it my way," so in "It's my life" when he sings "like Frankie said - I did it my way" he's referring to Sinatra!

  • tommy and gina are his niece and nephew

  • Greatest Song Ever Written

  • Bon jovi 4 Ever!

  • for me them best year

  • BRAVO!

  • PERFECT

  • it's a different culture... Every idiot knows that! LOL! They just want to be respectful with the band. Don't say something you don't know... ahah

  • no offence but this audience sucks! Don't these people have spirit for rock? If I was there I would invite all my friends and we'll go crazy. I remeber we all saw a band and we were all screaming and pushing each other for fun.

  • i love wouwou

  • im singing this song with one of my two friends for my school talent show.

  • haha good luck, make sure you do plenty of warm up first or you wont be able to speak for a few days!! my highschool band did this song a few years band and i did the high harmonies, we just walked on and did it (wasnt that bad actually lol) but i literally couldnt speak the next day!

  • yeah.

  • tokyo didnt sound too impressed

  • no offense to japanese people but they are the lamest audiences in the world imo they all stand in rows and columns and clap, i dont know why bands love playing there so much! maybe its just a different culture there maybe they appreciate the music without jumping around and screaming like an idiot!!

  • Please build me a time machine, I want to go back to this time. Today is shit.
