  • go for the apex, the pickups are great for metal and rock. they have alot of output and clarity. rest is up to you

  • I have a Schecter Hellraiser deluxe FR and a ibanez RG120 and i love both off them..

  • The song reminds me of some Rainbow Six shit....But I'd go for Schecter.

  • c-1 classic!!!

  • Sheckter C1 Plus

  • I think the fact that you show a lot more shecters in this video that ibanez' answers your question.

  • dean

  • well i find schecter the best guitar out right now cuz im a schecter player but ibanez has some cool guitars but. Do you like any other guitar's i mean i banez have very thin necks whitch can be very uncomfortable.but your best bet is to go to guitar center and play some diffrent types of guitars and btw the avenger is preety cool or the daminen-FR or the C1-FR they are all nice guitars to but like ibanez if u like thin necks than get the RG 550

  • I love schecters and ibanez. I have a schecter hellraiser c 7, it's a monster of a guitar, it's just perfect, I couldn't ask for more when it comes with schecters.

  • I'd go with the schecter for 3 big reason I prefer my own omen 6 Floyd edition...

    1- versatility

My band plays every thing from green day to avenged sevenfold to Metallica.... And it works great for all

2- i dislike strung-through guitars so I'd go with the hellraiser I think it was ... Floyd rose us a great thing my friend.

3- schecter will outlast Ibanez trust me... I use heavier strings and it's holding up for daily use

    3-

  • try them out first man :) xD

  • ibanez

  • I own both and like them equally, Ibanez are good quality guitars. Most bands get certain brands because of there sponsors and view also change brands for reliability. It's all about what you want to spend and how the guitar feels and plays for you. I personally wouldn't buy something because my favorite band plays it or if someone says that brand sucks. for sistain, quality and reliability I would buy a guitar that has a mahogany body, brand and type is all up to you

  • I want a schecter but i dont know if it can play blues lead very well? Anyone tried it with this? I also play classic rock or generic rock and metal occasionally

  • @StreakyGonzalez Schecter is amazingly versatile bro, in some models that they make you can split the double coils into singles to make a sort of Strat sound. I'd go for a Schecter C1 Custom for total versatility.

  • buy schceter hellraiser C-1, but with floyd rose, without it it doesnt look very good.

  • Schecter all the way

  • i would say Schecter because most ibanez guitars come with single coil pickups some with either emg's or duncans. but overall schecter guitars generally have more diversity they have a really nice clear clean tone and have a metal tone that isnt muddy or have to much bite. but thats my opinion its whatever you like. plus the schecter has a string through body which delievers a great sound in my personal opinion. both are good quality brands it just depends on what you like is all

  • @DrumManDustin95 hey just wondering if you have played/own a schecter hellraiser, i played one the other day, absolutly perfect, the ONLY thing causing me to hesitate buying is that the neck is thick as hell, do u think this is a big issue/got any advice? :D cheers :)

  • @LITZYS depends on what style of music you play. i have a hell raiser floyd rose and a c-1 standard and to be honest if your more into metal and stuff i like thicker necks it allows you to do better string bends and allows you to hit better hammer ons and pull ofs without causing any feedback in the other strings. another big difference is the coil tap you get on schecters that cause it to have a great tone it just matters on what you like. i personally like schecter due to versatility

  • the schecter

  • bro, i had to decide the same thing... bought the ibanez havent regreted it since.

  • I use both Ibanez and Schecter guitars, and being so, Schecter basically rapes Ibanez because of its diversity.. Ibanez is all the same thing

  • @hopclock99 I am not a proponent of any one guitar company. I have an issue with your generalization of Ibanez. Not your fault, it is a symptom of the new social network generation, give opinion iwithout prooof or understanding. Ibanez has tons of models, with different necks, neck types, neck construction, body, body types , body woods. et.... Schecter guitars, for the great majority are just mahogony, that is not very diverse, seems more like one formula.

  • @bluwng i understand what you mean, but what i mean by diversity is style of guitars, which Ibanez in my opinion, doesn't have much of. So in comparison, i feel Schecter pretty much covers that category.

  • @hopclock99 Got it. Sorry mate, I had YouTube overload.

  • @bluwng its all good dude, i liked your idea about woods used, ive never thought about any of that. Gives me a wider perspective

  • Ibanez all day!

  • Shecter

  • i remeber reading somewhere that strings through the body generally are a bad idea.....

  • schecter fuck ibanez

  • or the shecter c-1 classic

    that is amazing

  • get a shecter synyster gates custom-s coming out in january

  • Gibson!!!!

  • Schecter are WAY cooler than ibanez in every aspect. Ibanez are built like cheap series guitars and sold at a very high price. While Schecters are made with the finest woods, electronics, hardware and have cool finishes.

  • Definitely either the hellraiser or ATX active pickups are amazing.

  • defenetly the Hellraiser because its mahagony body original floyd rose(it is unusual for cheap guitars) EMGs volume and tone taps which change the humbuckers to single coils and bautiful red finish

  • The second guitar

  • From what I've heard some female heavy metal guitarists plays the Schecter C-1 Classic and they love it so I say buy it!!

  • fuck herman li, mick thompson, jeff loomis and shit .. satch blows them all away with his ibanez!!!

  • @shakar92 Fuck Jeff Loomis? You really are an idiotic human being.

  • They are both awesome, I play schecter in my vids. Mine is a c-1 diamond series it is my favorite guitar I own.

  • these people are stupid, and bad musicians, try for the one you feel more comfortable with, like i did, i had to minimize to choice from a Jackson Flying V and a Ibanez RQ4EXQM1 and i went with the Ibanez, i tried them both out, and a lot of different guitars, but the ibanez felt more comfortable, sounded great, and right now, its resting in my lap :) but anyways, 2 years already, so i hope you made a good choice

  • THE BEST GUITARS out there are,,, SCHECTER DIAMOND. charvelDK2M, ESP, KRAMER, but the musiccraft kramer or the new gibson make reissues of the 80's Kramer,,, kramer was the first metal guitar played by most well known guitar players,, and then it became ESP wich then jackson and so on.. but beetween schecter and ibanez.. ill have to go with the SCHECTER. alldough Ibanez is a great guitar as well but it has to be the up scale models RG and better.

  • schecter all the way

  • Hello Kitty Squier! Fuck the rest!

  • buy ESP

  • once u go 7 u never come back.....

  • ibanez. schecter can suck my dick.

  • hellraiser c 1

  • You should buy what plays and sounds best to your opinion. Test them

  • One should try both and see which feels right for him. I d' go for the Ibanez

  • give each one an hug ang choose the one that felt better...o,0

  • epiphone les paul

  • Ibanez RG1570z

  • I would go with schecter , also what is the song playing in the background?

  • If i had 5 grand laying around, I'd buy and ESP Sho-Ryu-Ken or Haooomaru. Since I don't I went with a Gibson Flying V

  • 1 billion shecters...

    1 ibanez...

  • @SUPitsDave

Funny, because I see more kids start out with Ibanez than Schecter. That right there should tell you that you're full of shit.

  • Schecter

  • Schecter ATX-C-1

    Ibanez RG3550MZ

    ESP M-II maple/duncans

    Caparison horus HGS maple

    Jackson KE-2

    Jackson SL-1

    ESP eclipse II

    ESP viper

    CARVIN JASON BECKER!!!

but I dont have money :(

  • This is old but in this case of the two guitars ibanez

  • no schecter dumb ass

  • @TheBloodlust2011 correct. schecter if it was a 6 string. If I myself had to pick between the two i would pick the ibanez. I love seven string guitars. Otherwise I would pick the shecter.

  • I would totally recommend the white schecter blackjack tax for the totally awesome features such as the wood and the blackouts and no floyd. But, if you're looking for a seven string monster look no further then the apex 2

  • Have you tried playing them both and see how they feel? As for virtuistic soloing on Schector guitars, try looking up Jeff Loomis of Nevermore. He uses mainly Schecotrs and has his own signature from Schector Guitars. Really amazing

  • SYMPHONY X!

  • I LOVE MY hellraiser c1- fr. It is so versatile and the sound is incredible. Ibanez has amazing guitars too but i'd still choose schecter over it every time. The only biff I have with it is that it weighs a ton, but that doesn't matter much at all.

  • @MrMnm007

I got the hellraiser c1 fixed bridge :p

Its fucking amazing I just wanted a fixed bridge cuz I switch tunings a lot like from drop C to drop G

  • @AnotherEpicName

Totally understandable, it is a pain in the neck to tune it. But after awhile you get used to it and it doesn't take very long. Still, I keep in in standard usually.

  • @AnotherEpicName drop g? thats a little low, don't ya think?

  • @brandonmarks13279

    sorry for late response :p

but no drop G not to low :p

    meshugga plays in drop F#

  • @AnotherEpicName technically messhuggah plays standard

  • If you guys knew anything you would choose ibanez over schecter anyday...and if you knew even better you would buy an american Jackson!

  • i would take the schecter atx c-1. its based on the standart c-1 and it sounds awesome and in fusion with the seymour duncan blackouts it´s one of the best series guitars on the world my opinion). sorry for the bad english i´m a german ;)

  • Ibby with dimarzios! And get a seven string they kick ass! So do floyds!

  • Ibby with dimarzios, and buy a seven string it is the best thing I have ever discovered and is rly easy to get used to.

  • all good guitars, i recommend going to a music store and trying them out to see what you like best, and if that's not an option, listen to some demos of the guitars you want on youtube. that's how i ended up with my ESP LTD Viper-50 which was a good $250 for what i got and then later i added a EMG-81 to the bridge pick up. so just survey your options.

  • I like to think of the two brands as different levels. A Schecter can be a fantastic guitar, I can assure because even my Damien FR is built really well, and is affordable as hell. BUT, their high end only goes so far, and, if you have money to spend on a quality shred guitar, Ibanez beats most out there. Also, personally,

    Schecter=Rhythm

    Ibanez=Lead

  • i go for ibanez

  • gibson. lol

  • SCHECTER IS THE BEST

  • The real question is why did you post a video just to ask one arbitrary question?

  • get the atx i have a schecter c1 classic and its bogilly slow to play!

  • name of this music please ?!!

  • Neither, Jackson Soloist!

  • i was a ibby guy til about last month..until i played my friends c1 hellraiser, hell of a guitar \M/

  • go for Ibanez ~

  • None of them buy an ESR yo

  • ibanez

  • i want to play progressive rock so ibanez S or shecter?

  • i still vote for ibanez because their concepts are way better than any other guitar company for me. concept #1. the ppl that make ibanez guitars say that any part of the guitar that touches the hand should be made by the hand while the other parts are made by machine.( i can't remember the other ones). besides, all the great shreaders have made their guitar from ibanez(i.e. steve vai, herman li, joe satriani, mick thomson etc).

  • @nova495 Herman Li and Mick Thompson are not great shredders. And you're forgetting all of the other amazing guitars who DON'T use Ibanez. Jeff Loomis uses Schecter, and he pretty much blows most people out of the water.

  • Imalmost posotive this guy has bought his guitar by now guys...

  • schecter hellraiser c-1 fr

  • Schecter

  • as long as you buy even a higher end rg tremolo, theyr still excellent...i have the rgr420ex with the edge 3, and i still have yet to find somthing wrong with it...edge does not go out of tune at all, no dead notes, low action with no fret buzz, no fretting out...i know schecters are also great guitars but ibanez is the best for the money...

  • Comment removed

  • sounds..bla bla bla... Blackouts are better )))

    4) Blackjack looks brutal and... and... IT LOOKS PERFECT !!!

PS i'm gonna buy Blackjack atx ABSN in october and my friend gonna buy hellraiser Black Cherry ))) I wanted to buy guitar with FR but i've changed my mind - i change tuning very often and it's not as easy with fr. Sorry for my English. Я из Росии как-бэ )))

  • Hellraiser/Blackjack (Classic is beautifull but not as powerfull as Hellraiser/Blackjack)

    1) I dont like Hellraisers fretboard inlays and binding. Such amount of pearl makes me feel like i'm on gay-parade )))

    2) Ebony looks better then rosewood.

3)EMG81TW/89 set is dual-mode version of 81/85 set. I mean they have Push/pull knob and in up position your humbuckers turns to singles. Not bad but useless in you play metal/alternative (maybe for funk )))). Besides you already know that blackouts..

  • ibanez all the way

  • @bubba34201 Blackjack and Hellraiser with OFR (ORIGANAL !!! FUCK YEAH !!!) cost 899 $ and with TonePros Tune-o-matic 749 $. It's best you can find for this price.

  • @TheVorobeyko your right for 899 your not getting anything as good as schecter. but for a grand over ibanez prestige series are 10 times better than any schecter

  • @bubba34201 RG Prestige? Are you kidding me ? They made of BASSWOOD !!!)))) In low tunings basswood sounds like "porridge made of high quality shit" even with GODLIKE PICKUPS. Sad But true. The biggest fail in Prestige series is RG2228. 8-string guitar with basswood body ? Its like a pick made of thick paper ))) Try to play in A or B tuning of Basswood guitar... I've tried...

  • Schecter Blackjack ATX C-1 and Hellraiser with TonePros are equipped with SCHECTER LOCKiNG TUNERS. NOT GROVER. IMHO its beter then not-locking grovers.

    Schecter or Ibanez ?

    1) Korea vs Indonesia - Schecter wins

    2) Ibanez is more expensive, but you pay just for brand and it sucks. Schecter wins

    3) Ibanez looks like... Green shit. Schecter wins again

  • Comment removed

  • Schecter is a different branch of ibanez so really any of them are a win win

  • @XFXHITMAN Schecter is not a branch of Ibanez. Schecter is simply Shecter.

  • Schecter any model you want if you have some real money id say the Schecter Synster gates eletric guitar

  • Definitely the Schecter.

But you could get a Carvin for just above the price, makes you think.

  • I'm tellin you bro, a Schecter will out play any ibenez. I've got a diamond series myself.

  • ESP

  • Comment removed

  • rg570 all the way up to the presteges or a jem

  • ibanez, no doubt about it

  • Schecter Stratocaster 1978 Fuck Yeah!

  • the quality/price of schecter are better than ibanez..1 mounth ago i bought a schecter hellraiser c1 gloss white and...it's amazing ,set up in USA,y recommend u schecter.

  • it all depends on the models and the pricing i own 17 guitars mostly gibsons , but on the road i do like use the ibanezs the reasons are like this if any thing happened to my ibanez i can go to any town in most states and get one off the shelf that compares to the one i lost i ve had excellent luck on warrantys and qualitys in the ibanez i also feel i get a better guitar for the money spent and i do really like the jem series, in any case with either guitar im sure youll do well

  • Man, have you decided? I'm in same undecide...

  • Ibanez Apex 2 Munky fuck ya

  • hellraiser and blackjack are perfect ....my cousin got a hellraiser and i'll get blackjack atx c1 fr soon...!!

    Schecter Rocksss dude..go for it..!!

  • Jackson dude the original high performance guitar. Every other brand is a wanna be Jackson. I play nothing but Jackson and they're tough reliable and sound the best with any amp. You'll pay more but it's worth the money because it's built far better. Especially if you're going to play metal I assume.

  • schecter

  • Schecter! Schecter! Shecter! get FR equipped though.Llook at the detail on the first guitar.. fucking sexy.

  • Both superb. Shecter is my love and ibanez my desire. What dyall say bout the S series ibanez?

  • ibanez seem like better shredders, and i think there high end stuff is better but i think shector middle end and ibanez middle are equal just depends on the model. but schecor guitars look bad ass but ibanez also make alot more models and makes then schector. but you cannot really compare brands i think only compare model by model. personally i like ibanez better

  • I have the same dilemma everytime. Ibanez are AWESOME and they shred like nobody's business, but it feels like over the years, they don't evolve(ok, on paper they do, but mine was 10 years old, and I tried a new one few months ago, and it literally felt like the same exact guitar).

Whereas Schecter have been changing, bringing new stuff in, retiring other things and honestly, they sound fuller and heavier. They shred shred like mad too

Try both, and go for feel at this point... But nowadays,

  • Shecter dude, more options, better woods, better finishes, better sound, etc. Ibanez is still cool though, but their tremolo's blow

  • i had the schecter c1 hellraiser and i sold it for and ibanez i like ibanez better but both good guitars

  • Ibanez

  • Ibanez if you wanna shred somebody's balls off. Schecter if you wanna shred only 1 ball off.

  • you cannot miss if you buy Japan made Ibanez! It blows Schecter away... the quality is major!

  • @teamSKDM ur wrong because i have a schecter damien elite 6 and neck is not big but its not to small either so its in the middle and its more comfortable than a ibanez

  • schecter rules....you should get schecter.....

  • Symphony X rules!!!

I'm an Ibanez fanboy... but I'd love to try Schecters for a change!

  • shecter

  • dude u can clearly see from the vid that u like schecter more

  • The very first guitar.

  • schecter :)

  • easy schecter c1 atx in white no contest

  • ibanez are nice, but schecters sound great, feel great and can truly take a punch.

  • Schecter is the best

  • ESP Horizon

  • id go with ibanez

  • Schecter !!

  • Ibanez has ALWAYS failed me. Schecter has not. Ive owned (and currently own) both

  • ESP Horizon

  • schecter.

  • it depends on what kind of pickups you want. schecter hellraiser has active pickups, which has a nice distortion sound, but for its not really good for clean playing and you've got a lot of feedback. but on the other hand, schecter looks better (I think) and it has a higher quality. ibanez is a way bigger brand, so there's a lot more choise. just look around some more, see the differences

  • schecter for sure. can't go wrong.

  • Yeah Schecter is all quality Ibanezs are nice guitars too but Schecters are where its at. Also I would buy a hellraiser c-1 because I like emgs better than blackouts. Also I would get the Hellraiser without the floyd rose because floyd roses are a pain in the ass

  • schecter

  • THE FIRST TO KNOOOOOW AND TO UNDERSTAAAAAAND.....

    I FUCKIN' LOVE SYMPHONY X!!!!!

  • the Schecter C-1 Classic looks sick!..... As for the pickups, seymour JBs and 59s are quite good.... the tone might change slightly depending on the wood.

And, i've always a 7 string, so maybe the ibanez.... I'll swap the pickups maybe... Not much of a Dimarizio fan, thats all.

as far as th EMGs go, you can put them on plywood and still they'll sound the same.

Looks for what sound good to YOUR ears......

  • even though this video has been up for i while i thought would give my input. ive owned lots of different brands, ibanez, schecter, ltd, jackson... and i have to say, the one i would choose every time is my jackson. best neck and sound in my opinion. the other guitars aren't bad but they all have things that i would change about them. between the two you listed, i would say go for the ibanez if ur gonna go high end, and schecter if not.

  • looks<playability

  • theres a reason why over 75% of the shredding community prefers ibanez

  • @mexrilla And that reason is Ibanez has been around longer than Schecter and people are afraid of change, But Schecters are built better, sound better, play smoother, and hold up more and give you the option of floyd rose or string thru, where as ibanez will have a model, for example (nt a real model number) RG 000 nd that model will be equipped with a floyd rose... period, where as Schecter will give you the Schcter C-1 Hell raiser, or the Schecter C-1 hellraiser FR as for other schecters

  • @bradabbottmusic i'm a schecter player myself, but your info on ibanez is false. Ibanez are wonderfully built guitars easily to the same quality as my schecters. Ibanez does offer a lot of options for example, ibanez model numbers ending with a 0 have a floating trem, while model numbers ending with a 1 are fixed bridge. The 7620 and 7621 are exactly the same guitar save for the bridge itselt. i can see where the lower range of instruments is lacking in options tho.

  • @bradabbottmusic It all depends on what your looking for. For example the necks, ibanez is thin and flat, and schecter is very large and round. The craftsmanship ive seen on most ibanez guitars is pretty much better as well. for example, my friend danny down the road has a schecter c-1 sting through. paid 800 for it. i have an ibanez rgt42dx, also paid 800. the ibanez is better in every way possible. both are neck thru as well, and the playability of the ibanez is superd, and there equal on sound

  • @bradabbottmusic Just bought a Shecter and you are totally right. Very versatile and well built instrument.

You got what you pay for.

  • theres a

  • The best Ibanez for the budget has got to be IBANEZ RG3EXFM1 . The best Schecter for the budget with good quality is the diamond gryphon series. dont get the omen6 standard it feels real cheap. Itll leave you very unsatisfied.Stay away from the ibanez gio . Cheap and a waste of money even for beginners. Follow my advice and youll be very satisfied.

  • I think both brands have pros and cons. If you want a less flashy look and are on a budget go for ibanez. Schecter is good but too flashy and if you like ablone over mother of pearls then stick with schecter. Both are comfy but I like the plainer jackson look. Jackson looks great but the feel isnt there for me. Ibanez feels balanced even for some of the lower end guitars. the lower end schecter feels real cheap. Ibanez is lighter and far more shred friendly. I have both brands.

  • hey man, its the pickups not the guitar that make the diiference, if you want good pickups(i forget what the models are in these guitars are) buy one with either EMG or Seymour Duncan

    no for the guitars

i like schecter blackjack ATX i like better though, but i dont like the inlays, tough choice though man

  • Schecter>Ibanez

  • get a schecter

  • Im also undecided i am trying to pick between IBANEZ RG350DX and a SCHECTER DAMIEN FR

i play more rock and metal but not into too much heavy metal...

i dont know which is better....if anyone can give me some of their opinions it would alot :) oh i also use wammy bar so which of these 2 guitars stays in tune better?

  • Then that depends. Are we talking about used or retail prices. I will admit that they seem to enjoy discontinuing their awesome lines for some reason.

I actually love ibanez destroyers. The only problem is that I always feel like just saving up for an Explorer if I want a destroyer type of guitar.

I came close to either buying an 84 ibanez destroyer or that Schecter. I ended up buying the Schecter because it seemed more reliable and I already knew what it sounded like unlike the destroyer.
