  • I carved a dragon out of a watermelon when I was in culinary school. It was a different techinque. I like seeing different versions of good work. I'm sorry that I don't have a picture of it. :( Most of the time I never have the opportunity to stop and take pictures. How long does it take you to complete a carving? Good stuff Chef.

  • if i'm doing a flower carving, about 10 minutes. if i'm doing something more sculptural, about 20 minutes. you should save images of your work and share them with the world. its very gratifying and we can learn from each other. i just started learning last year by myself, and i can see my progress through my videos.

  • my wife has some drawing ability. she just uses a marker to draw directly onto the fruit. we don't trace. also my wife writes all the replies (hi everybody!)

  • have you a web site where we can print off the picture to trace onto a papaya
