I love the AD&D gold box series. I remember spent many hours of these games in my "powerful" 386 pc...... ha.ha.. good memories. I wish I can play them again but I think any computer has floppy disk drive or "slow" enough to run the game anymore. I wish they can remake the game with the current generation system for I still considered the D&D gold box series is one of the greatest RPG I ever played! Thanks for the upload!
You're correct about it being based on AD&D 1st ed.. I have the related TSR AD&D module "Ruins of Adventure" (save cover art & setting as the SSI computer game), which is definitely written for 1st ed. AD&D rules.

When I was young, I played this game alot but I've never beaten it.
