It's the same as saying "I know the images in this movie have been planned and drawn by the hands of various people instead of shot through a lens..."

Doesn't make sense...just regard it as the great film it is.

@stubacca100 I think, the point was not that it was a cartoon but just that it's pretty life-changing considering the fact that it's just a source of entertainment. This being so, it would still have the same meaning if they put 'film' instead of 'cartoon.' They probably just wanted to be precise as to what it was to avoid confusion, which if I'm right, had the opposite effect to what was intended.

The reason why is because it offends our japanease culture, in my opinion. i'm actually a half japanease and i like anime much better than american cartoon. it has so many differences for example in the drawing style, expression, attitude, language, music.
