i'm playing as the wizard, i used the heart ritual, and it mentioned a hole in the ceiling, but levitation does not take me anywhere. is this just a bug? must i restart (ugh)?

I like how sarcastically(?) you had the hero start to read the later rituals.

Funny how you didn't really need to use a potion through the whole game. No wonder you can only get one of each a day. That trend reverses in QfG5, but that one is more RPG than Adventure anyway.

I hated having to wait through the awakening scene every time I failed in the final screen.

Funny he kills you with the least powerful attack spell. Maybe he was almost out of mana?

I don't know if someone mentioned it, but you can actually get through the Sense room without getting electrified at all, just use the grapnel from on top of that platform, and click it on one of the parts hanging from the platform above the door. It will swing you down to in front of the door, with no damage taken at all.

Avoozl is some kind of interdimensional demon / dark god. If you are familiar with the works of H.P. Lovecraft, he's something along the lines of Cthulu.

But there is no reason why Ad Avis attacks the Hero and not Katrina (when the bond was already broken) with the spell that attracts Avoozl?

I think the reasoning is that if he attacked Katrina herself with that attack, she might turn it against him or otherwise defend herself. When he used it against the hero, though, she shielded him with her own body, disregarding her own safety and leaving her vulnerable to it's effects.

I still don't get how exactly Ad Advis managed to kill Katrina...!? Why didn't he just cast the spell on Katrina herself instead of the hero (besides for the plot to show that Katrina had true feelings for the hero!?)

I would say that Katrina's probably correct when she says she's the better wizard and vampire and by using Avoozl to kill her, He can get rid of her easily and still have magic to spare for the hero.

And he probably targeted the hero because it was closer to whatever Avoozl was grabbing with.

Ad Avis cannot harm Katrina because he is magically bound not to do so. However, if Katrina attacks Ad Avis, then this bond will be broken. By attacking the hero, Ad Avis tricked Katrina into attacking him, which made him free to have a go at Katrina. Then he cast some kind of spell that was so powerful or evil (or something like that) that Avoozl was attracted to it, and hence he devoured Katrina, who was being attacked by the spell.

Just noticed that for the senses room we're down a sense; Touch, Smell, Hearing and Sight; Where is taste?

I noticed that too. I suspect that they simply couldn't think of anything for the hero to taste in this room, so they left that particular sense out. Honestly, I didn't really want to see what Avoozl's tongue looks like anyway.

As for performing the last ritual, there's an error there, it mentions you holding the paper; but there IS no paper, the book disappeared once you memorized it after you killed the High Priest.

And does the Dark One rising remind anyone else of Chernabog?
