Can anyone describe the flight layout of the crash. I had heard the plane skimmed the ground at like 20'-30'. When did this skimming start? Are the poles level with the pentagon or are they on higher ground? How far are the poles from the Penatgon? Any help would be appreciated.

And yes they were mostly flying to Los Angeles or other far destinations carrying alot of fuel.
And yes planes are made of light aluminum that mostly disintegrates when hitting a solid object.
They do tests showing planes doing this, plus tons of jets on railroad tracks hitting cement walls.
And again it was full of fuel rather then a crash landing where a pilot dumps all his fuel.
