  • WHERE CAN I FIND ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A RED BANDANA??????/ HELPP ME PLS THANKS

  • That was a superb video sir. I feel like I can totally do that now.

  • Excellent Excellent job guys. Great how to. Very well explained.

  • Go to partsexpress (dot) com and search part number:

    260-764

They have different colors, so research before you buy. Also read the reviews on the glue you're going to use.

  • A: Where Can I get that carpet? &

B: How did you roll up both ends of the carpet before gluing the sides? I saw the extra piece that was already cut when you were using the razor, i just need to know to get to that step.

  • A: Where Can I get that carpet? &

B: How did you roll up both ends of the carpet before gluing the sides?

  • Where is a good place to go to get speaker box carpet?

  • big box little subwoofer

  • @fm4101171 those subs are actually pretty damn big... from the back haha

  • "dont slice the W7"

  • You cut it so carefully, You have the precision of a perfect blunt roller.

  • so let the glue dry b4 you stick the carpet to the box???

  • @DjTriggzl6 Just let it dry long enough for the glue to get tacky, usually 2-3 minutes or so. If you touch your knuckle to the glue and it's tacky, but it doesn't wet your knuckle, it's ready.

  • could you please message me the specs of the enclosure??? i want to build one myself...

    Thanks

  • man that looks nice B-]-

  • oh i do love the sound affects !!!!!! by the way has helped me ALOT on how to cover my sub box :) THANKS ;)

  • Beautiful

  • nice :0

  • wat kind of paint gun is that an what size of needle are u useing?..

  • I got alot of outside corners and sharp ends just not a saqure box. How would i seem those into place.

  • Thanks for the info. Now I know how to cover a box an make it look professional

  • Thanks alot, this is going to prove indefinitely helpful when I build my sub box! One question, for just a simple box, with the woofer mounted on the inside, should I cover the entire outside, or leave a small ~1cm strip of bare wood around the hole for the woofer to seal properly?

  • Thank you so much for this video, you really taught me something I have been contemplating for so long

  • how do install de w7 when it doesnt have the screw holes on top only on bottom??????

  • This looks just like my friends JL10W7 box. Might be the same one lol...

  • hy whats the carpet name??

  • fucking AWESOME video. thanks !!!!!!!

  • Instead of gluing it why don't you just use an air compressed staple gun? What if the carpet gets a rip or a tear? You could take the staples out and re-carpet it a lot easier..

  • nice video, i enjoyed it and i learned a lot

  • Nice & clean! A+

  • you have the best technique ! great video!

  • i picked up a yard of this for $11 at best buy today, putting it on later.

you can probably find it cheaper at an audio store, but i had a gift card, so i just took the loss.

you can pick up a can of spray glue at autozone or advanced auto parts. it was only like $7.

  • You guys are goofy as hell. Sweet hair too. I prefer a box without carpet if you catch my drift. hahahaaa

  • these guys have so much glue they use it in their hair !!!

  • cant you kust staple it ?

  • Excellent walk-through. I was always confused as to how to do this and your video showed me step by step. 8 minutes of knowledge easily saved me 8 hours of confusion! Lol thanks man

  • i can still see the seam

  • how does this kind of fabric work for guitar cabinets?

  • what site can u buy this box carpet. i need to recarpet a falso floor peice 4 ft long 3 weet wide. we drilled holes to hides rcas and wound up snagging the carpet in the drill bit and it pulled it up and looks like shit now

  • if that guy had on a plaid shirt, aviators, and converse shoes i would ask him if he was johnny knoxville

  • "you want to do a nice half moon" Other guy : "what if you do a full moon?" "if you do a full moon, then you're an idiot!!!!!! Lmfao !!! Just the way he said it haha lol

  • You actually take pride in your work, good shit mang

  • For us poor folks, 3M 77 is the best glue in a can.

  • Your skills are appreciated, and thanks for posting. The "funny guy" commentary is undercutting your companies image. Perhaps, he is not a good employee and uses humor to bring attention away from himself. Other than the camera retard, thanks for posting your skills.

  • nice but how do you wrap vinyl tho

  • @thabossnigga93 its different, you have to sew the cover. and then slip it over the box. i think lol not sure

  • @thabossnigga93 hmm im guessing you do it the same way mate, but making double sure the edges meet well.

  • Has any one told you you look like Jhonny Knoxville?

  • for sure man!!! just built my own box getting ready to carpet now!!

  • dont eva get that close to a w7 with a razor blade!!!!!!!

  • very nice! Im going to use your Demo for future carpeting. Wondering how to make it Clean!

  • you let the glue dry completely first? or you let it get really tacky?

  • great video man. helped a lot!

  • great sound effects u guys have

  • this helped out so much!, the way i was taught to do seams is so much more noticeable than this! thanks!

  • @enec1 NNNOOOOOO!!! the wood needs to be dense. 3/4'' MDF is the best wood to build boxes with

  • @soundmancaraudio actually if you want a good box with good tone make one out of hardwood like oak

  • @soundmancaraudio

As far as density to cost is concerned yes MDF. I prefer birch over MDF if I can afford it.

  • This video is alot more helpful than Rockford Fosgate's video. It looks alot easier on here to carpet a box. Thank Alot. Soundman

  • This actually looks easier than Rockford makes it look. Doing it Rockford's way takes damn near an hour to carpet a box

  • So that's what Stephen Dorff is up to nowadays.

    FROOOOOST!!!

  • if it wasnt for this guy, my shit would so not my flossin in my trunk

  • Where do i get some of that material at?

  • why do you wrap it in carpet with the sub still in the box?

  • @lilal455 On that box the woofer face was wrapped in vinyl. Then we test bumped it. There was really no need to take the woofer out since the face was already wrapped. We have to save as much time as possible because we're always busy and we're shootin video all the time.

  • wow, i've never seen anyone do a "Half-Moon" interesting.

    Good Job!

  • Damn that was beautiful.

  • ACC Carpet out of Alabama sells OEM carpet colors and various backings.

  • chick at the end is bangin!

  • I went to "Mobile Dynamics" and they train a completely different way of doing the corners. I like the way you do it better. Thanks for posting this video.

  • He kinda looks like Johnny Knowville, he needs the pilotglasses tho

  • Thanks m8's !!!!!! great DIY video !!!

  • just wanted to say, i love the videos

  • these guys look like jackasses but they are funny and informative. 5/5

  • Awesome. Now I wont fuck up my boxes anymore lol.

  • thanks a lot for your help man. this video was very informative. i just built and carpeted a box for the first time and it turned out great!! just so everyone knows...i'd like to reaffirm what he was about using a brand new razor haha. definitely necessary. i used spray glue from a can that I bought from Ace Hardware. it was a green can....can't remember the brand. just get the expensive one

  • neat o

  • Thanks. Will definitely help.

  • Fuck.. that's beautiful man. Damn it.... I wish I'd watched this before I attempted the disaster I created. Thanks for making this vid.... seriously.

  • Where's the guy moaning like that?

  • ah hahaha moaning 3:46

  • what about marine vynil im tryin to wrap my box in that and i dont wanna mess up

  • vinyl is a whole different story. you would have to cut pieces of vinyl and have the seems stitched. or you could wrap the top, front and back with a seem on the bottom and cut two end pieces out of wood for the sides and wrap them in vinyl and attach them from the inside of the box.

  • yes i agree this will help me out a lot also

  • Thank you so much man! I appreciate the helpful video! 5 STARS!!!!!

  • Im about to carpet my box, other than the DAP glue what other glue would you recommend?

Im contemplating a Permatex or 3M. Suggestions?

  • This technique hides seems for all types of carpet. I just carpeted my buddy's box w black felt and he had to look really hard to find any seem at all!

  • great job im bout to build one thanks

  • lmfao this is fucking hilarious

  • 5* for the hot blonde at the end!

  • very helpful video, thank you for posting, carpeting is the hardest part if u ask me

  • Very nice

  • thats really good work, looks like you have been doing this work for awhile.

  • This is the best video on the net right now, Thanks alot guys this showed me how to carpet my box. Where are you guys located? Be carefuly for not falling next time either xD
