  • @weaselboys248. Use a compass to measure cuts for your bottom tile. Lay tile on the floor up against the wall and make sure it is flush. Looking that the top of the overlapping tile, set your compass to how much to cut and the drag the needle on the floor with the pencil part marking the tile. This way you get perfect cuts that match the grade of the floor. Email me at my screen name at yahoo dot com.

  • @weaselboys248. You do not have to screw the marble into the brackets. Just apply a thin layer of thin set on top of bracket and the wall. The tile will do the majority of holding in place. Don't risk cracking your marble by trying to screw it in. Hope that helps. I'll try to get a pic out to you.

  • @weaselboys248. The purpose of a ledger board is not really for the corner seat but it helps for putting tile on a wall. Example, my shower floor is sloped to the middle and wasn't really level from end to end. I had a slight dip in the middle of the back wall. So if I started laying my tile on on the floor then the bottom row of tiles would all be uneven. To prevent that you use a ledger board that is set just under the minimum height of the bottom tiles. Then you start with the second row.

  • Hi,

Great video. I have a few questions.

What was the purpose of the ledger board?

How did you attach the seat to the brackets and can you send me a photo of the finished job?

    Thanks.

  • Sorry. I wanted to do a part 2 but lost my pics on my phone. All I have is the finish view. So far since I posted this it has stoop up to my 250lbs and no problems what so ever. I'm very proud of my work and was surprised in myself in creating an easy and effective way to install a corner seat. That is why I shared this.

  • Great video. Is there a part 2? I can't seem to find it.
