  • Please read the prophecies of Linda Newkirk at prophecies org

Many important warnings from our Lord about the Antichrist, the Two Witnesses, Revelation 12, the false rapture/alien invasion.

Deluded preachers and televangelists will promote the invasion as the return of Jesus, many will want to escape as war and chaos break out.

The warnings about Obama are very sobering and shocking!

False prophets in the churches! Counterfeit miracles!

Please share these warnings with others

  • enjoying ur wonderful song...God bless MK!

  • Dulcet......

  • MARKNIFICENT!!!

  • Wow! As good as any Dylan song! I like that he references God, too. Of course, I like all his songs. They're all great!

  • Wow! As good as any Dylan song!

  • Can someone help me?

    Whas Bonaparte just a corporal?

Did i miss something in the english lesson, or in the history lesson?

  • @markaka1000 - No, he was never a corporal, that nickname reflected the comradeship he enjoyed with the enlisted men of the French army.

  • @erkr4th Now i get it. Thank you :D

  • @markaka1000 I think that this is a style figure to mean some shortness or litlleness of spirit - opposite to grandeur - that the author doesn't want to be a Napoleon attribute. it means also that napoleon came to emperor from almost zero (corporal), but his mind and spirit allways stood small.

(sorry for any possible error. english is not my mother language).

  • @markaka1000 your question is very interesting, I found this explanation on the web

His extreme youth, when he took command of the army of Italy, or any other cause, had established a singular purpose, that after every battle, most old soldiers gathered in council, and gave a new grade to their young general: when he returned to camp, he was received by old mustache, who greeted his new title.

  • He was made a corporal at Lodi, Castiglione sergeant, and hence the nickname Little Corporal, Napoleon spent a long time among the soldiers. And who can say the chain that unites the smallest due to larger events

  • @markaka1000 If I remember correctly he got that nickname because of his conduct during the battle of Lodi in northern Italy. During the battle Napoleon, originally trained as an artillery officer, personally aimed artillery pieces several times, a task normally entrusted to a corporal. Someone correct me if I am in error though.

  • I'm a great MK's fan, but he's not one of worlds best guitarists. He's a poet, his songs make miracles, there is a soundtrack for everytime signed Mark Knopfler, but he's not the best at playing guitar. He's ok :)

He was a banjo player, this is why he can move his fingers so fast.

By the way, i just love him

  • @giubbi14 He wasn`t a banjo player. Do your research before you say something please.

  • they should organize a free concert in Pakistan. That would make world a better place to live and mark would fetch a few dozen awards for noble peace too....:)))

  • Have yet to find a Mark Knopfler song that I don't like... this one, too, is great!

  • Version with Emmylou Harris, Stuart Duncan, and the '96ers is also excellent.

  • Excellent anti-war song.

  • Most wonderful tune-age & lyrics.

  • fantastic song. Wish my version was so good

  • war auf sein konzert in köln schon lange her aber super

  • Knopfler + irish-like music? I like it.

  • Cuore e chitarra insieme...UN GRANDE....

  • Check out this song covered on my profile! Appreciate if you comment and "Like".

  • Every time I hear Mark Knopfler play I say to myself I want that song! There is no other songwriter whose music I have ever wanted for myself. He is the master. I can't wait to see him for the first time in Milwaukee in less than a month.

  • Great performance from Great musicians.

  • Look at the faces of the muscians!! Happy, for playing this song!!

    victhorus - Poland

  • @victhorus

Specifically it's a "National Steel" which Mark seems to increasingly favor.

The version of this song they did on the tour with Emmylou Harris is simply amazing, thanks in part to Emmylou and Stuart Duncan (fiddle).

Great Stuff, all of it! Thanks, Mark.

  • I wont' try to find words for how good this song is, and so much of the rest of MK's beautiful and maturing music. I'll only say - holy cow! A bagpipe!! Wonderful. Great combo of sounds in this piece. Really makes it unique.

  • Egyptian sand:)

  • Spanish skies:)

  • Hungarian father :)

  • Still, after all these years, love him.

  • Mark, I hope you get to read this.. you are my greatest inspiration. You are a legend whose shoes no one can fill and whose legacy will live on. shred gods like rob marcello, vinnie moore, paul gilbert amaze me but the emotion and feel you bring to your songs and guitar playing probably signals the zenith and consummation of quintessential guitar playing. You will live on in the hearts of those your music has blessed.!!!!

  • that's an awesome accolade mate, I wish that could be directed at me. I hope he gets to read this. I loved the money for nothing album

  • Great video. Mark is so talented. Nadine

  • MK is an amazing singer-songwriter. And one of worlds best guitarist players.

  • The best ever in my opinion.

  • yes,and the sky is blue and the war is not a good thing and i prefer to be in good form than sick.

  • @dervanir yes yes yes

  • @dervanir Thank you for putting "songwriter" above "guitar player" - it is much more important and valuable

  • i love this song, it really does feel like Mark at his best, all hail!!

  • Ths is exactly what I've got to learn for this testweak (And 3 other 19th century wars), so yeah, done with Bonaparte

  • cette chason me fait rever une epoque avec une fille qui sait aimer ,waw dommage

  • Absolutely great!

  • Quite simply Brilliant !

  • respect à ts ls musiciens qui jouent ave toi papa mark ecoute ca guira des comores

  • A true poet...

  • A much lesser known anti war song than BROTHERS IN ARMS but, in my opinion, just as powerful. Amazing SONG !!!

  • Pure gold...., MK forever !!!

  • He is the greatest Guitar Player of all time and he is flawless live.

  • @scarletknights18 absolutely agreed

  • @scarletknights18 Greatest Guitar Player only for those who have never heard of flamenco, jazz and classical guitar off course;)

  • @scarletknights18 second part, yes...first part, no...way too subjective a statement..in your opinion, fine.

  • Saw him perform live for the first time a few weeks ago - absolutely brilliant performance.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • The Master, MK

  • .. his current tour is not to be missed.. it is a treasure.... and will stay with you forever more ...

  • vamos mark, carajo. jose desde argentina

  • I have just bought my tickets to see Mark in Charlotte, NC in late July -- don't think I have ever looked forward to any concert like I am looking forward to this one!!!!!

  • i got tickets to see him in charlotte to!

  • me also 4th row!!!!!! :)))

  • I saw him in here in Dublin last night. Excellent! I wish he played Walk of Life though..

  • No apologizes....your english is perfect!

  • which guitar is that??

  • Dobro Guitar

  • i believe its a Continental/National CS-0 Style 0 Resonator guitar, and Resonator guitar are often called Dobro guitars.

  • knopfler is for me the master of expression on guitar.

  • mr mark!!!

  • I know that many will disagree... but the less he plays guitar, the more I like the songs... I like his voice, the way he let any word out, and the brief, intense solos he plays in the latest records...

    SWANZ

  • Yeah, that sounds a bit crazy.

  • He is a master at telling stories with emotion - his voice and his eyes - and the guitar enhances it.

  • I'm going to LA in late July but he won't be there then....

  • I'm just speechless after watching this...I just love this man.

  • I love him too. I wish he was going to do this song live. Are you going to see him when he comes to the States? I can't wait.

  • Unfortunately, he's not coming anywhere near Texas. So sad...I hope this isn't his last tour. I'm so disappointed!

  • I love Mark too!!!,,, I went to see him here in italy and it was fantastic! (sorry for my bad english)

  • great musicians joins together to make a very very good......m..

  • most smart/good people sometimes don't get any of what they deserve...dun know why....

  • God of six strings! This track takes me back to my memories of mid 90's. No 1 can produce this masterpiece

  • i always like mark knopfler music style, and this song gives proof that he knows perfectly well how to put the right words into an agreeble tune.

  • The greatest modern musician to ever walk the earth. What a treasure. So great and yet so down to earth. Too bad there are not more people like him today.

  • I think "Done with Bonaparte" is one of the most beautiful songs of Mark. The tragedy of napoleonic Russia Campaign is shown through the suffering eyes of one soldier....

  • You mean one eye - he lost the other one at Austerlitz.

  • awesome and there is nothing wrong with the singing

  • why is MK not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? It is empty and meaningless without him.

  • Hope he does

  • Because Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is meaningless!

What's the matter if you like MK?

  • I've been wondering the same... He/Dire Straits absolutely belongs there!

  • We've paid in hell since Moscow burned

As Cossacks tear us piece by piece

Our dead are strewn a hundred leagues

Though death would be a sweet release

And our grande arm?e is dressed in rags

  • You couldnt get that atmosphere without the Irish boys .Good on ye Liam O Flynn ,Brady ,Lunny . Up Galway and Mairtin O Connor on the "Box" thats music . Check out Moving Hearts and The Chieftains and Sharon Shannon.

  • THIS MAN IS A GENIOUS... nobody compares to him.

  • he definitely says "alright" way too much

but still mark knopfler is god!

  • Songwriting - brilliant.

    Guitar playing - excellent.

    Singing - oh dear!

  • I like his singing!!!! It gives him a swagger : )

  • this man is a song writing legend and his guitar style is to be admired by all the greats

  • Lyrics based on history - always loved 'Golden Heart' and 'Shangrila' was another goo one - looking forward to getting my hands on 'Kill for Crimson'

  • Sailing to Philidelpia - Brilliant. All about charting the Mason-Dixon line. Tunnel of Love, was Spanish City amusement park at South Shields. The guy knows how to use words and then some.

  • MK has taken based his lyrics on the books he has read. I just can't get enough of the guy.

  • Awesome song, even better when performed live!

  • I've heard it twice live! Before they started it almost everyone changed instruments, and he said: "Good Luck"!

  • Id love to se him play live. Thought the albums Sailing TO Philidelphia and Golden Heart had some of the best songs.

  • Saw Dire Straits years ago, saw Knopfler 2 years ago at NJPAC. Grown men were jumping in there seats over Romeo and Juliet. I cried when he sang Brothers in Arms. He is the MAN.
