I mostly use pure Trichlorethylene applied with a brush size 0 / 05, it evaporates the fastest! In a second place: Vollmer liquid cement with a needlepoint feed tube. -I find that the carcinogenic adhesives are still the best....but remember to ventilate!!! :-)
Brett's wrong about one thing, you can use superglue on clear styrene. Here's a cheat I learned from Fine Scale Modeller:
Put a coat of Johnson's Clear/Future floor polish on the clear styrene and the polish will keep the CA glue from fogging the plastic. Future also kicks ass for glossing or decalling. Try Ambro Pro-Weld, Plastruct Bondene, and plain old Tamiya or Testor's liquid cement in the bottle with a brush. Those are all perfect for the cap-action and squeeze method. :)
I guess tube cement is the cheapest to buy. It is not very good for fine glueing, whih most is in the modelling world. For me I us the Revell pro fine nozzle contacta stuff. Happy modelling!
