TX Moshi William (who is a leading singer here) died on 29th March 2006. He was one of Tanzania's greatest musicians of all the time. R.I.P Moshi. Another deceased from this band is Athuman Momba, a singer you see here in a white shirt/black tshirt. He died almost a year before Moshi. R.I.P Momba.
I would love to visit Tanzania,one of my favorite musicians is Hukwe Zawose,dearly departed,bless his soul...
I had the tremendous honor of actually holding one of his instruments in my own hands,given to a friend who let him stay at his house during a local world music festival in england! I felt its power,it was a profound experience for me,it changed my life 4 shure!
Well I could compare them with a number of Congolese bands,but nobody in the last 20 years or so. The horns in african popular music is pretty much extinct,Electronic keyboards and guitar have replaced that in most parts,often to great effect,but I miss those horns,haha! So youre right,they dont compare,so its great to hear. I really like this band,and YES they do a great guitar 'sebene' too,to top it off,a perfect musical package!!

I couldn't agree more wit'cha. These guys rock in Tanzania. You can't compare them with any orchestra in Africa...Their songs have very wonderful meaning and not mentioning people's names for nothing...they just rock!
Wow,these guys should tour he U.S.A,this style of music is very popular right now,the guitar is excellent,and the horn section is no longer heard in the congolese equivalent,very old school,so fantastic,thank you for sharing this Tanzanian gold!!!!!!!
