Her mother born here did not learn creole and did not teach it to B, a lot of people do that to their kids. In the 60s Beyonce's grandmother did not think it was cool to teach her daughter creole since it was not cool to be associated with Haitian back then.

@celph414 Yeah but they weren't as populated as people are lead to believe. In fact there has never been a mass migration of Frenchmen to any of the American 50 states. Most people who claim there are of French descent are either Haitian or Canadian.

@numonemofan I agree with you all the way. Haitians are NOT only associated with being black because they come in ALL races and ethnicities. Go to Haiti and you will even find middle eastern and Chinese Haitians. Its the fact that the media has painted a picture of Haiti, and made it seem like only blacks reside there. The media doesn't parade mulatto and mixed Haitians at all to the public . Which is why so many stereotypes are held on Haitians, when it comes to race. Ignorance is Bliss...

She didn't say she's Haitian, she said he's Creole(Not Cajun). The same way you didn't know the difference between New Orleans(American) creole and Cajun, is the same way she probably don't know all the details on the different creoles.
