Hah, people don't seem to realize that cats often groom themselves to pretend that they didn't just do something stupid, or to pretend that they're not actually stalking prey. This cat was "stalking" the treadmill because it was moving, and then when it fell off it started grooming as a displacement behavior.
I agree. It seems that younger cats are more prone to finding things such as treadmills intrigueing. It's so awfully cute though and a great spirit lifter to watch the cat's funny antics. =^..^=

It is funny, yes, but can also be dangerous for the cat. Many cats are injured because of being allowed to play on treadmills.
