Creepy, but a few problems his roll cage wasn't buttoned properly, his seat belt (assuming) wasn't attached and his seat wasn't welded or bolted in properly, the drivers door flew wide open (bad latch?) axle came flying off like it was super glued... Understand rules change over the years especially specs for drag racers whether stock or super stock or extreme performance. None-the-less, that is one lucky dude.

I don't know how he can mistake a '55 for a '57, there's a big difference in the style. Fortunately I grew up in a time when these tri-five Chevys were everywhere. It wasn't nostalgia they were the modern cars of the day. I'm glad I got to see & live in an exciting era. Unfortuntately most of these tri-five Chevys were converted into hot rods by kids in the 1960's. Many got trashed & wrecked. My dad sold his 4 dr Hardtop '57 Bel Air in 1968 to a kid for $250. My dad bought it new in 1957.
