whoa barbie! lisen, no offence but PINK is NOT very festive. second LOWER THE MAKE-UP u are NOT in a photoshoot. geez i miss the old u when u didn't were as much make-up. plus the earings are going to rip off your ears seening how big they are. You guys just need to give Mattel a break. They were just improvising or experimenting with different ideas for the Holiday Barbie. It would be boring if every year they had a Holiday Barbie wearing a Santa dress. Just this year they wanted to try something new, and you all go against them? Yeah sure, maybe there is a little too much makeup, but like I said they're only experimenting with new ideas. And this doll is beautiful, not ugly like most of you say.

It's fine for Mattel to experiment with Barbie. They can do that. But they need to expect that sometimes their experiments will not exactly be embraced by the general public.

True, Holiday Barbie doesn't always need to wear a "Santa dress" And they don't. Sometimes they wear silver, or white, or gold, or blue, or even black. And they all look gorgeous. But...pink? Barbie wears pink every other day of the year. Mattel needs to give pink a break.

You dont HAVE to keep collector dolls in their boxes,only if you prefer to or you think you would sell it in the future(: They accually come with a stand and certificate ;] ;] its pretty cool

@rockyworldsbesthorse If the top of the box is made out of hard plastic(top and bottom saying the name Barbie on it) then its meant to be in the box(decoration). I have a African American special 2000 edition celebration Barbie(year 2000) and those types of Barbie's are not meant to be played cause they cost about $35 at the time plus their a collectable. 2000 edition celebrations barbies value is now between $25-$89(original box and ornament included).
