Great vid, I read avengers academy monthly so I was stoked that hybrid was the new villain. This last episode he explained his plan being to take over wraithworld.
@TheVisionofComics hey bro long time no see! thanks for watching! have you been to the blog lately? you should i've posted messages from Bill Mantlo's brother (Michael) who recently made contact with me and among other things showed this video to Bill who was very pleased with it. can't tell you how good that made me feel to know the creator of ROM Spaceknight (the comic) was sprung on this vid. i've also been in touch with the editor of Avengers Academy about bringing . . .
@TheVisionofComics . .Rom back for which you can do the same in a couple of easy steps that will take you less then a minute. it's all at the blog posted in only about the last week or so. check it out there's a whole world out there of cool Rom related fan art and info. beyond Youtube.
@holseyd I just sent what I hope to be a very convincing letter to the team over at marvel. Also I checked out the blog and that is so cool Mike has been in contact with you, And its good to hear that Bill was able to enjoy something you created, I wish marvel would do more to recognize him and his tragic situation.
@TheVisionofComics awesome! several other people sent emails to Rossman too. i don't know if this all is gonna do any good but it can't hurt and if it pays off some day you can say you had some part in making it happen. feel free to leave a comment over there too as you can see we've got a pretty good social thing going on. i like seeing people bounce opinions & ideas back and fourth off each other blogging wouldn't be nearly as fun if there was no chatter between the viewers.
@Kidobriza much like Robocop ROM was ultimately a tragic tale of noble soul trapped in metal prison. but that's not as tragic as the stupid licensing hang up that keeps Marvel from publishing the character any more. but there's something you can do to help with that. i'm not talking about money don't worry. please go to the blog link in the video description.
@Kidobriza good, even if the letters don't work i'm certain your after life rewards will be great just for writing and sending one. when IKON made her debut in that Thanos Aftermath one shot i wasn't too crazy about the armor design. but the way the artist draws her in both Annihilators mini-series makes her look much better. but that's just me, what about Ikon's design do you not like?
@holseyd I've read Anihilation, but can´t particulary remeber Ikon on the series. But basically , what i don´t like at her armor design, is that the lines are too smooth, i like the squarish look of Rom, like some sorta of of chromed optimus prime.
Plus, Rom´s personality.. he putted the KNIGHT, on Space knight, you know? Ikon is just a brawler, if you know what i mean.

I heard rumor that Brian Michael Bendis (former writer of the DareDevil comic books) is also a ROM fan. I don't know if it's true but I can find out!
@sidemachine i'd be surprised if this video created any new ROM fans but if it does all the better. it was fun to make and it's really more about keeping the character's legacy alive and relevant while hopefully getting the attention of Marvel. also, if this makes it's way to Bill Mantlo and his family that would be great too. yeah if you have any means of contact influential people in the industry go for it and thanks for posting this on FB. byt, Hybrid is back check the ROM blog.

@comicbookandmovies the 80s was my time mate from age 8 through 18. but as long as it wasn't a one finger salute it's all good, thanks for watching. by the way if ya wanna know what i thought of Suicide Squad # 4 i posted that review too. i've been also reading tonight a trade paper back that compiles the first of the Marvel Zombies stories. wow it's insanely cool and scary at the same time a great blend of superhero sci-fi and horror.
