@staffmage135 It was delibertly designed like that. In fact, the developers delibertly set it up to make the player intially believe that James is the one imprsioned and Maria is visiting. That is why the opening video starts off with Maria "visiting" James.
But really, James is figuratively "trapped" because of his infatuation with his sick wife and Silent Hill mirrors that idea to him throughout the game with the use of metaphors such as this one.

Actually this theme is quite nice! I thought no one would comment, but hey, very good song >8D.
The quality isn't too good but who cares, the song is good however - which that's what it counts :D.
