audio quality makes my ears wanna bleed.... if they fixed that with the emulator or whatever needs to be done to fix that then I'd consider the gp2x a more serious choice.

PSP beats the DS with MAME.

GP2X perhaps the best choice overall for emulators - I don't like the left side directional control buttons though.

I have got both and use the PSP a lot more solely because of the shitty directional controls on my GP2X F-200.

this is a collection of arcade games, so the age varies obviously. the handheld is a gpx2 which isn't that old really and the MAME software still gets updated...

Yeah, like adzixxx wrote, they range from the late 70's to late 90's. search for "gp2x" on youtube and you'll see a ton more videos showing different emulators and cool sh!t on it.
