Having said that, I think Lee has had a great career, a good bloke. Although he's becoming an old angry quickie these days. But if people say crap like Akhtar and Malinga are chuckers then by the same token and probably moreso, Tait and Lee are chuckers.

All quicks have been proven to have at least 10 degrees of flexion of the elbow. You'll be surprised to know McGrath is one of them. Flintoff too. But they utilise alot of wrist work as well, something Wasim Akram and recently Wahab Riaz do.

all fast bowlers throw, especially their short stuff. there is no way physically that you can bowl at those speeds with a completely straight arm, there would just be too much stress put on it.

I am a massive Lee fan (name might make that obvious) and I remember watching his first match in Melbourne, but I will admit he throws, albeit within the laws. It's when people claim he intentionally beans people that you have to ask questions regarding their knowledge of the game.

I personally don't think they throw consistently, although I will admit their bouncers are suspect, but it is possible to bowl at these speeds without throwing, your body just needs to be built for it. you look at someone like Fidel Edwards, similar action to Malinga but consistently 5-10km/h slower, but then you look at Flintoff, a large man who didn't look to be bowling fast, was consistently in the mid to high 140's solely due to the fact he found a way to harness his power.

@Crkt4Eva Flintoff and Lee, out of all the fast bowlers around in recent times, have the least suspect actions, the one thing that both have is a great wrist action :) if you know what I mean,at 12.30 on this video they show Lee, side on in slow-mo and at no point does his arm bend when it comes over his body. Flintoff too, he had a peculiar straight arm action, but got a lot of his pop from his wrist. Chucking is bending your arm by more than 10% which neither of these 2 do.
