@truckdawg43 he is in no way owned by socialists.but the republicans have sold out america and its people for corperate funds. they are traitors to america and should be treated as such. the man is dead on with his call out of the republican reich wingers. they have consitantly done everything in their power to buy out the country to fill their pocketbooks by fucking over everyone else..and they use the gulibility of the christian right to get this stuff passed.
@scorand What would you call it then ,when gov forces you to buy something .First it IS unconstitutional and if you have been to these medicare medicaid offices you would know they are worse than the DMV.Sorry it took so long to reply I was out making my own way in this world without any help from the GOV .Paying for my own ins
@truckdawg43 oh you mean like auto insurance, medicare/medicade for the most part has been paid for by those who get it. they paid the taxes for it too.. and the only reason these offices are worse than the DMV is because of these hmo's and crap that these butheads decided to use to funnel more money back into their corperate masters pockets and thiers.. so no help from the gov huh. what are you gonna do when you reach ss age.and you get all of those cuts and you cant make ends meet anymore

@AiPolitics On the contrary republicans have the most powerful gusto in the business with their 24 hour emotion machine that is fox news. I guess at some point well realize we cannot continue like this.

@calerouan I'm not accusing Democrats of being sadistic at all. I'm accusing them of being equally as greedy as their Republican counterparts. I'm not defending either party. As far as I'm concerned they're all crooked as a barrel of snakes. All I'm doing is pointing out that special interests own BOTH parties. And whenever one group points the finger at the other, they are usually in the same pocket as the group that they're pointing the finger at. Hence the numbers in the previous post.
Who just put 30 million more people into the insurance system raising their profits? Democrats....... Republicans never forced us to buy insurance. How are people going to afford their premiums & The deductable, they still won't go because they can't afford it, even with the subsidies!
We're all in for a rude awakening in the next few years.
@jldurham6 It was the republicans Who destroyed the public option which would have given people a choice of not paying the insurance companies. so in fact republicans did force you to buy insurance. the democrats didn't want you to buy insurance.
@Wingchunkangaroo BULL.....SHIT.... The republicans have no power, how do you not get that. If the dems wanted it in they would have crammed it in there. Obama didn't even want it and left it up to the senate and house to get it in there. The DEMOCRATS wouldn't vote on it, we were told they couldn't get the votes. Stop playing this game like the Dems OR Repubs are watching out for our best interest. If Dems wanted it, it would have been in there.
@Wingchunkangaroo The public option WAS buying Health Insurance through a government ran program!
Single payer is where you pay for it through taxation and not through healthcare plans like the public option was. Holy shit, after a year of having this pounded down our throat how do you not know this yet.
Their ultimate goal is a single payer system as Obama stated on the campaign trail, this bill NEVER set out to push for that.
and then they campaigned against the mandate they were responsible for creating. ITs like Reagan and his followers creating an under-class and then campaigning against it to lower taxes even more..
@j0kim0n why do you think they've been able to jack up their premiums by 30-40% w/out losing any customers?
Totally!
Try 400% in the last 11 years! People fighting health care reform because they believe in "competition" are insane. There is no competition in our current system.
@MrPoliticon His claims are absolutely true. What have the Republicans done to distinguish themselves from insurance company lobbyists? That's all they are and have ever been: Corporate lobbyists on the pubic payroll. Period.
If I lived in New York I would vote for Congressman Weiner. He's a smart guy and he really does give a damn. I am starting to not give a damn how the reform is done but something needs to be done!!! The Republicans do not want to compromise to support the American people. Weiner and company need to regulate it and they realize the change that needs to be done and they want to roll the dice to get it done. So get the shit done Congress!!!!!!!!
@RealTime88 Well I do not want him to run for myself, BUT I can see he would do very very well and could win if he did run. BUT I do not think he would beable to beat President Obama if he ran again. If they worked with each other they would be very very hard to beat. Now I was conservative republican but I quit. I am on no one side and I like it better this way when I have no party that trys to make me think what they want.
@FridaySternShow I want Anthony Weiner to be president but I agree it would be hard to beat Obama in 2012. His second year is seeing him become a better leader and more confident. And after a rough freshman year he needs to keep in this direction of draging America to the places it needs to be. Weiner has that same mantra in the Congress. He is a smart guy and I want him to be president one day.
this guys is totaly correct! And they even passed that bull shit move before this that says a corp can give anything they want to these people, so yes the republicans are doing this for cash money and greed. and they would fight the president even if the president was to cure cancer! scum bags! IM outa there party for good after this health care mess!
@MrPoliticon....Outrageous?...the claims are not Outrageous....the claims are totally true....what's outrageous is how the republican politicians are simply selling their seat to the any and all interest groups...
The fact that claims are outrageous doesn't make them untrue. It just means that they cause outrage. Hence "outrageous". Truth hurts like a bastard. Enjoy being owned.
Why are Repubutards so brainwashed that they don't want an option and are happy with a system that raised their rates 400% in last 10 years while tens of thousands of Americans are dying because they can't afford to pay for the huge bonuses, marketing and shareholder's profits that this f-ed up system requires.
Because they believe that the republican party represents Jesus and they'll go to hell if they don't do what Jesus says. They also believe that their great grandparents rode dinosaurs to church. Hahaha
" health insurance isnt profitable in a competitive market then a better one comes along..."
Imagine if there were only 2 supermarkets in a given state you could go to and if you wanted to switch you could only do it one month out of the year and only if you had no pre-existing groceries! "Competition" in the health insurance industry is a joke. It doesn't exist. And if the "free market" is so great then why are we paying twice as much as ANYBODY ELSE for the 37th best health care?
"so confused and conditioned by leftist media ..."
Yeah if only he was a right-wing ditto head who believed every talking point spewed out by Beck, Hannity and Rush...Then he would know the "facts." brainwashed Repubutards like you have the most amazing capacity for projection. You call names but offer no facts yourself because you don't have any.
The proposal is mandatory insurance imposed on the public, the Gov will subsidize a signifigant portion of that ie. subsidizing the insurance industry, reducing what insurance companies reimburse on medical costs placing more costs on the patients and their families, and much more.
As one Insurance exec said "It's a bonanza!" As said millions on the edge will have a new expense pushing them over the edge. The Dems are securing their profits
I was referring to the comment you made in the previous post which reads.
"Both our facts are right. Dems take money from insurance companies. Dems then try to pass legislation hurting insurance company profits. Dems backstab insurance companies, so therefore are not in their pockets."
You trolling, fucking moron.
But you'd rather just keep asking "why" like some 5 year old kid who doesn't understand why the sky is blue during the day and black at night. I'm done with you.
"Trying to pass legislation that destroys insurance profits?"
That isn't even close to what kind of legislation the Dems are trying to pass. jboy is correct, the Dems are in the pockets of the insurance industry just like the Repubs. The legislation that has come up not only doesn't destroy their profits but enhances them by forcing people to be mandatory customers among other handouts.
They are serving them and a result may be pushing millions already on the financial edge, over that edge
@Navywxman Some Dems are in the pockets of insurance companies. ALL Republicans are. Some Dems are still fighting for a public option. Some, like Dennis Cusinnach are still fighting for Medicare for all. ALL Republicans are fighting to block and obstruck ANY health care reform. Period.
Hear hear for Rep. Anthony Weiner! 5***** Look how free the U.S. Congress is! You don't like what a representative says? Simple, bitch and moan about it like a fucking pussy and have those words stricken! What a piece of shit government the USA has! The USA fucking sucks! Broken government by design of the corporations! Do you know what a government that's controlled by corporations is? It's fascism! The USA has slowly morphed into a fascist form of government. Disgusting!
moxnews guy thanks for taking time and effort to post daily all these great informative clips. I have learnt more about the american political system from watching your posts than the last 10 years of watching all the corporate propoganda that is cnn, bbc, msnbc and other so called news outlets. A+
NO in fact you are making No sense what so ever and you're speaking in circles and posting to several people at once like a person in the throws of a manic episode.
I do however enjoy your egocentric idea that you've got the entire conversation figured out already. Since you are not open to debate, and you'll just reiterate your comments over and over again like people in manic phases do I with drew from the circular nonsense.
"So why did the dems almost reform the industry and hurt their profits? If you're in someone's pocket, you wouldn't pass laws to hur their profits"
Those are your words correct? If that was the point you were trying to make, why would you offer a bunch of redundant and inane questions up until now when you could have made that point 3 or 4 posts ago?
And you could just say "I'm only trolling and don't care about facts. Only continuing a thread after sources and links have already been provided to me..."
I've already told you why I think congress does what they do a couple of posts back. I don't know if you've noticed, but Republicans are in the pockets of the insurance companies too. So riddle me this... To use your own argument against you, why would the Republicans not try to pass legislation on behalf of the insurance companies? I'm glad I can't tell you how party politics works behind the walls of congress because it would probably mean I would have to be totally insane to understand it.
You're arguing "ifs" as if their not facts. The fact is that they ARE in the pockets of the insurance industry. All you have to do is look at the lists and amounts of the contributions. I've noticed that you haven't offered counterpoints to the original points. You've only asked "how's and why's". I can't tell you how and why because I don't receive those contributions. Why don't you call the capital switchboard and ask your representative for the answers to those questions?
we can only hope, that our representatives wake up. they might not always represent us perfectly ever. but they need to stop listening to the highest bidder, understand one side has infinite money the other side writes our laws. the laws still have more power. just gotta write the correct laws and rob back from thieves
I'm not dodging the question. I don't have ALL the answers. All I have are the facts that the majority of congress is in the pocket of special interests. All I can tell you is that you shouldn't look at politics as good versus evil. You get clouded that way and allow other people to do your thinking for you. All you can do is look at it as a potentially effective system being run by a group of extremely flawed individuals.
@j0kim0n to be honest there are a Great many Dems that are owned by the insurance company too...not the majority like the Repugs but a great many Dems too are getting paid. So Lets be honest here the system is no longer working for us.
Because the democrats and republicans are all in the pockets of the insurance companies. Weiner is using a classic example of divide and conquer tactics. He'll keep pointing the finger at the republicans and the republicans will keep pointing the finger at the democrats. And while we're fighting over the diversionary issue of who's responsible, they'll still pass whatever legislation is in the best interest of the people in their pockets. And you and I will still be pointing fingers. That's why!
Weiner is certainly correct. Every republican, or nearly everyone of them are owned by the insurance industry and sellouts of the people
But a great deal if not the majority of Dems are no different. If they were not there would already be single payer healthcare or at the very least the public option would have passed long ago. It hasn't only because the majority of both parties are bought and paid for by corporate/wealthy interests. Paid to serve wealth at our expense even though people die
I'm all for freedom of speech. But how about speaking the truth? Weiner is a prime example of a politician who'll forcibly fuck you up the ass but tell you it's okay because he's saying nice things to you while he's doing it. All he's doing is telling members of his party what they want to hear. This is the first time since 1990 that the Democrats have received more in campaign contributions from insurance companies, yet he says the opposition is a subsidiary. He's preaching to the uniformed.
no wonder corporations control our politicians, if they try to talk honestly about the corruption the mics are cut for "using inappropriate words in debate"
does anyone know what the "inappropriate words" were?
Wow! You've gotta love the false indignation of partisan politics. But before you go rah rahing your football team, (ie. your political party) you might want to do the research first. An example.
Campaign contributions 2010:
Harry Reid:
6th: Lobbyists: $477,000
11th: Insurance: $270,600
Chuck Schumer:
1st: Securities & Investments: $1,042,650
5th: Insurance: $198,100
6th: Lobbyists: $179,720
So far in 2010, 52% of contributions from insurance have gone to dems. Reps and Dems are ALL crooked.
I'm not talking about Weiner. I'm talking about his accusation that the opposition party is a subsidiary of the insurance industry. The fact that he can make that statement with a straight face when his party has received more in campaign contributions from the insurance industry for the first time in 20 years is the reason I'm angry. The tragic comedy is that whether it be Democrat or Republican, CONGRESS IN GENERAL is a subsidiary of the insurance industry.
And yes. I do agree that Anthony Weiner is good at being an effective politician. And yes Schumer and Reid need to stop being career politicians. As do any politician who puts special interests above their constituency.
PS
I hope you don't think I'm personally attacking you. I'm not. I thoroughly enjoy rational debate. Keep up the good work. : )
En Garde! Attack Away! I am more than ready for the likes of You! You cannot harm me with your pittyful excuse for wit! I FART In Your General Direction! Nah... I'm just kiddin IT'S ALLLL GOOOOOD! Thanks for commenting! The comments are my favorite part of... whatever this is that I'm doing! I hope things are good where You are.
@jboyko3 Is that health insurance or car/homeowner insurance too? I mean yeah dems need contributions to win elections too, but Pubs are completely corporate lobbyists. At least some Dems actually pretend to serve the American people. Pubs don't even try.
Obama's health care plan was going to force Americans to buy health insurance from the insurance companies. So whose REALLY working for the insurance co's? It was reported in USA Today on Jan 4th that the IRS was going to monitor people through their taxes to make sure they were paying for it every year. Do u honestly think the corporations were going to let this one slip by?
I gotta say, I'm impressed. It's about time things got heated up instead of this insincere exchanges when people are talking about the basic levels to sustain life and society.
If health isn't on your radar as a basic level to sustain life and society then there might be a problem with your priorities.
Just remember that Wellpoint announced double digit rate hikes across 11 states now, no longer just maine and california. I don't want tax cuts I want premium cuts from the health sector.
He was funny as hell but how stupid are we to elect crazy attention whore's like him. He would be awsome on the daily show but lord help us if that is what is leading this country.

I am on no one side and I like it better this way when I have no party that trys to make me think what they want.
FridaySternShow 1 year ago
@FridaySternShow I want Anthony Weiner to be president but I agree it would be hard to beat Obama in 2012. His second year is seeing him become a better leader and more confident. And after a rough freshman year he needs to keep in this direction of draging America to the places it needs to be. Weiner has that same mantra in the Congress. He is a smart guy and I want him to be president one day.
RealTime88 1 year ago
this guys is totaly correct!

@j0kim0n You don't know what your talking about.

I'm done with you.
jboyko3 2 years ago
"Trying to pass legislation that destroys insurance profits?"
That isn't even close to what kind of legislation the Dems are trying to pass. jboy is correct, the Dems are in the pockets of the insurance industry just like the Repubs. The legislation that has come up not only doesn't destroy their profits but enhances them by forcing people to be mandatory customers among other handouts.
They are serving them and a result may be pushing millions already on the financial edge, over that edge
Navywxman 2 years ago

Disgusting!

I've already told you why I think congress does what they do a couple of posts back. I don't know if you've noticed, but Republicans are in the pockets of the insurance companies too. So riddle me this... To use your own argument against you, why would the Republicans not try to pass legislation on behalf of the insurance companies? I'm glad I can't tell you how party politics works behind the walls of congress because it would probably mean I would have to be totally insane to understand it.
jboyko3 2 years ago
You're arguing "ifs" as if their not facts. The fact is that they ARE in the pockets of the insurance industry. All you have to do is look at the lists and amounts of the contributions. I've noticed that you haven't offered counterpoints to the original points. You've only asked "how's and why's". I can't tell you how and why because I don't receive those contributions. Why don't you call the capital switchboard and ask your representative for the answers to those questions?
jboyko3 2 years ago
@j0kim0n Ok so you're in a manic phase and I'm going to wait until the depressive state kicks in. Good night.

we can only hope, that our representatives wake up. they might not always represent us perfectly ever. but they need to stop listening to the highest bidder, understand one side has infinite money the other side writes our laws. the laws still have more power. just gotta write the correct laws and rob back from thieves
sx200ser 2 years ago
@j0kim0n Not all Dems as my post stated.
Second you answered your own question with the qualifier "almost".
yourmomdidsayyourean 2 years ago
I'm not dodging the question. I don't have ALL the answers. All I have are the facts that the majority of congress is in the pocket of special interests. All I can tell you is that you shouldn't look at politics as good versus evil. You get clouded that way and allow other people to do your thinking for you. All you can do is look at it as a potentially effective system being run by a group of extremely flawed individuals.

@j0kim0n to be honest there are a Great many Dems that are owned by the insurance company too...not the majority like the Repugs but a great many Dems too are getting paid. So Lets be honest here the system is no longer working for us.
yourmomdidsayyourean 2 years ago
Because the democrats and republicans are all in the pockets of the insurance companies. Weiner is using a classic example of divide and conquer tactics. He'll keep pointing the finger at the republicans and the republicans will keep pointing the finger at the democrats. And while we're fighting over the diversionary issue of who's responsible, they'll still pass whatever legislation is in the best interest of the people in their pockets. And you and I will still be pointing fingers. That's why!
jboyko3 2 years ago
Weiner is certainly correct. Every republican, or nearly everyone of them are owned by the insurance industry and sellouts of the people
But a great deal if not the majority of Dems are no different. If they were not there would already be single payer healthcare or at the very least the public option would have passed long ago. It hasn't only because the majority of both parties are bought and paid for by corporate/wealthy interests. Paid to serve wealth at our expense even though people die

Lol. So much for free speech... Not even in Congress anymore. Where CAN you speak your mind anymore in this country?
whoo689 2 years ago
I'm all for freedom of speech. But how about speaking the truth? Weiner is a prime example of a politician who'll forcibly fuck you up the ass but tell you it's okay because he's saying nice things to you while he's doing it. All he's doing is telling members of his party what they want to hear. This is the first time since 1990 that the Democrats have received more in campaign contributions from insurance companies, yet he says the opposition is a subsidiary. He's preaching to the uniformed.

Wow! You've gotta love the false indignation of partisan politics. But before you go rah rahing your football team, (ie. your political party) you might want to do the research first. An example.
Campaign contributions 2010:
Harry Reid:
6th: Lobbyists: $477,000
11th: Insurance: $270,600
Chuck Schumer:
1st: Securities & Investments: $1,042,650
5th: Insurance: $198,100
6th: Lobbyists: $179,720
So far in 2010, 52% of contributions from insurance have gone to dems. Reps and Dems are ALL crooked.

PS
Harry Reid & Chuck Schumer should STOP BEING CAREER POLITICIANS!
MoxNewsDotCom 2 years ago
I'm not talking about Weiner. I'm talking about his accusation that the opposition party is a subsidiary of the insurance industry. The fact that he can make that statement with a straight face when his party has received more in campaign contributions from the insurance industry for the first time in 20 years is the reason I'm angry. The tragic comedy is that whether it be Democrat or Republican, CONGRESS IN GENERAL is a subsidiary of the insurance industry.
jboyko3 2 years ago
well then I guess we're pretty much in agreement...

And yes. I do agree that Anthony Weiner is good at being an effective politician. And yes Schumer and Reid need to stop being career politicians. As do any politician who puts special interests above their constituency.

@jboyko3 Is that health insurance or car/homeowner insurance too? I mean yeah dems need contributions to win elections too, but Pubs are completely corporate lobbyists. At least some Dems actually pretend to serve the American people. Pubs don't even try.
sinistar99 2 years ago
