A lot of people drink themselves into a stupor regardless of problems, particularly in his age group.

I'm not saying this is what he should do. But it is an understandable reaction. He's not being asked to work out a relationship or something like that. Saying it takes hard work to make things better is a little simplistic because of the scale. He's being asked to potentially die to basically save the world. That's A LOT of responsibility.

I think she might have decided differently. Unfortunately. She thought she could protect him, but she couldn't.

She asked him and Daniel to save the other girls. It is in her final voice message. She was trying to save them, but not so they could go hide in some hotel room and drink themselves into a stupor feeling sorry for themselves.

She wanted him to keep fighting. And she gave her life for this. I believe he may be forgetting just how much she sacrificed so he could continue to fight.

Jonas is still a young man, and he's so lost. He feels like he's tried fighting...and failed. At this point he feels like a failure after watching Nadia die.

That's probably where a lot of the desperation comes from. Bree died to save him and to save the girls. And he feels like he has failed her, making her death meaningless. Which isn't true. He saved Emma. One life matters.
