@JosephWax What? In the first place, Michael walked out on LMP and forced the divorce on her in 1995. They married in mid-1994 and the divorce was finalized in January 1996. That makes LMP his first ex-wife. He married his second ex-wife within months after the divorce was finalized. Second, he didn't fall in love with either woman. The man who re-introduced them in '92 said Michael wasn't even interested in meeting with LMP. She insisted upon the meeting. Michael made that story up for PR.

If Brad Pitt dies first, Jen can claim she knows Brad loved her and hope that everyone will ignore the fact that he walked out on her and had children with another woman. Some women just don't know how to move on. Michael was right! Emotionally, some women just can't accept that a man walked out on them, what that means, and what DIVORCE means. And Michael certainly didn't try to deceive her with his question "If I asked you to marry me, would you do it?" She knew about the rumors and the allegations. Clearly, he was asking her for a favor. Later, she said, at the time, she wondered why he hadn't proposed to her. She ignored all of this and chose to believe he was in love.

Randy Taraborrelli--who is actually a card-carrying member of the tabloid media--didn't help) there were stories about Michael being gay and possibly even a child molester. Michael really believed that the stories would stop if he married and had children of his own. That's why he married LMP. But when she realized the real reason he married her, she got mad and said no.

Tapes say that she did not want to have children. That's one side of the story. Lisa said, in the beginning, with the announcement of their marriage that they were planning to raise a family, and live healthy and happy. If one or both future parents is taking meds that can affect the baby's health at birth or later, would it not be logical for one or the other to want a medicine free conception before actually conceiving? Lisa said she wanted a family with him. Not just her established one.

Ladymodel -- At the time that the decision to settle out of court was made, Michael was being heavily sedated. Lisa Marie was relatively young, and although she had attended good schools (having been expelled in the 11th grade, and very likely not academically inclined since she was rebellious and experimenting with drugs ) she was essentially working with a 10th-grade education.
Obviously, the situation was not good, and at times it was quite disturbing, based upon LMP's statements.

Settling the case was the worst move to make, and then again these bias ass people dont realized that the decision to settle out of court was not decided by MICHAEL JACKSON! The insurance company settle the case and paid them off thinking it will stop years of false accusation from surfacing. They basically just serve the people what they wanted to be serve... money!

If they did, my guess is that most fair-minded Americans would have concluded that the acquittals were indeed justified.
Instead, most white America walked away resentful and determined to have a 21st-Century-style lynching. Spurred on by the media, their victim was Michael Jackson, an obviously innocent man.

Myths can be easily created and perpetuated forever. Then bizarre things start to happen, and no one seems to know why. Eventually, everyone becomes accustomed to living in a bizarre world.
Ladymodel -- yes, settling out of court was a very bad decision indeed. Despite other advice, LMP persuaded Michael that that was the thing to do.

First of all, do not call me poorly educated. What myths are being perpetuated here? Is it a myth that Jackson settled out of court TWICE for similar allegations? Is it a myth that inappropriate relationship with underage kids on his part has been allegedly going on since the late 70's (e.g. discussing masturbation and actually doing it over the phone with a then minor, Terry George.
That was when he was considered normal by most...so imaging what could've happened when things really..
