Konfobulator did have widgets before they were implemented into Tiger on the Dashboard feature. Konfobulator ate the hell out of ram, it didn't have good widgets, it was incredibly unstable, it wasn't very well integrated with key commands and the like. Konfobulator was a very primitive version of Dashboard. Even if they did it first, apple did it better, and that is what matters most.

This is Leopard, I just didn't put Time Machine in the dock because I don't have an external drive to use with it and Spaces does not appear in the dock by default
if you knew anything about leopard (try the sneak peak on Apple's Mac OS X page) then it would be blatently obvious that this video is of Mac OS X Tiger and not "Leopard" due to the lack of features such as time machine and spaces on the dock...
Ok, thanks. But in the menu bar, not the Dock. Also, Word takes over a minute to load on my Macbook 1.83GHz with 512MB RAM, and the same guy just released that taking 5 seconds, so I find it hard to believe that's Tiger. If you refuse to believe that, I would suggest that it's actually on a PowerPC. Or perhaps he just disabled Spaces and Time Machine, as is probably possible for people with moderate memory / disk space.

you don't turn it on, its just always there. It only opens when you run a G5 program.

Back on the original Mac there were things called Desktop Assistants, which were essentially Widgets but without the name.
