Rick James was 6 songs into a thrird mary jane Girls album,when he pulled the plug on it, after a war with Motown. I wonder is this 1 of those songs he never released?!

Compare Vanity & Apollonia 6 stuff written,arranged & produced by Prince to the Mary Jane Girls stuff, that Rick wrote,arranged & produced. You will see for yourself, who was the better at writing & producing for girls groups.!

Nice, retro track. Mariah sounds good as always and Rick is a great producer. I wish he & Mariah had done more songs together. I enjoy the entire album "Glitter" album though. Very underrated. Nice pictures btw, I love Mariah with her natural, curly hair much better than the straight blow out. I wish she'd wear her hair natural more often. It really suits her.

Yep, that's where Mariah got her inspiration to become a singer. It's becoming really apparent in her new albums.

Heck Mariah's even cited the first song she heard of Whitney Houston was "Thinkin' About You" which was one of Whitney's R&B hits back in 85, I just listened to it and it is a great song.

So I think Mariah loves this genre. She should do more.

Mariah dont usually have a lot of like horns and strings and stuff. she just uses her voice to be all the instruments, which is another reason shes better than the others
