  • clear ippon to Darbelet(blue)

  • he was on the ground tho

  • You have to laugh and wonder why they would put such a commentator in charge of an Olympic final. Describing Darbelet, a European champion and gold medallist at the Moscow Super World Cup, as a rank outsider! He was clueless regarding Darbelet's record, citing his 17th place finish in Athens in 2004 where the French entered him in the -60kg category a weight he had not fought at since 1997.

  • totally owned by the japnanese

  • Der Mattenrichter ist schlecht, steht auf der falschen Seite und sieht die freie Hand nicht.

  • 0:56 looked like an ippon

  • I like how it took liek five seconds for the jpn to stop after the french tapped him...

  • @Mofolamarmotte you don't tap till the ref stops you

  • how can one not see he is tapping out?

first he taps on the jpn's leg with his hand, afterwards the matt with his hand and then with his feet...

    def. ippon!

  • PLEASE LOOK AT THE GUY IN BLUE, HIS RIGHT HAND TAPS THE MATT, 1:10, FOR ANY DUMB PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS WAS NOT AN IPPON....

    TAPOUT = IPPON...............

  • 0:58 pretty dangerous there

  • It was a tapout

  • It was not Ippon :|

  • @khangbob tapout = ippon. nothing to argue.

  • lol of course ippon^^

  • It was not ippon ,

  • Japan and Korea judokas are best in the world

  • well duh

  • I pissed myself when i was doing my first comptition and my last match was against this japanese guy XD. And he got me like in 20 seconds... HE was so FAST!!

  • not even japan rules all the world in judo

  • Not ippon, that was a right decision

  • nice choke

  • its not "ushishiba", its uchishiba

  • Of course it is not ippon to the french because they were on the ground.

  • ippon of the french with no doubts

  • Not an ippon for the French man.

    You are wrong.

Ippon requires control. The French was in a headlock and on his knees when he rose and threw the Japanese.

    Therefore, not an ippon.

  • well if you look closer he has grip on the left thigh region of the japanese and in addition they both were on their knees then rose together

with the ref not calling matte then the moves counts. plus the jap was on his back for a good moment before turning the frenchman - who would have had a hugh migrane

    but only my opinion

  • Close call there.

I have to say that I would have given the Ippon to the french guy. He preformed a ochi-gari that I would have counted as a counter-attack.

But as always, the judges had it THEIR way.

  • yup

  • @Thefablemaster no, because the french men did not get out of the headlock when he pushed the japanese against his back

  • a vrai dire le japoné a la 28em sec il a pas voulais tranglé si vs remarqué bien l'action et a vs de jugé peut etre qu'il a voulais faire un ippon en l'air

  • kreismeisterjudo had said it, but the reporter is really very boring...-_-"

lol 1:16, Uchishiba don't understand what's happen xD

  • y wasn't the the score at 0:57 awarded?

  • the reporter is very boring

  • i like this! very nice! respect to japanese!

  • if you look carefully at the DDT you'll see the french player execute an ouchi gari in a counter move before his head gets smashed into the ground - not being funny but i think the french guy should have one this as it was an ippon!!

  • @bigsexyinthehouse no because, a) it came from ground work and b) uchishiba uses kosoto gake to throw him so Darbelet's leg is in there as a result of the Japanese player's throw

  • @bigsexyinthehouse judges again as usually steel and favourise judokas. shame... i think franch should have won this

  • Des chaînes comme celles là : The Official IOC ne devraient pas exister sur you tube car elles ont en fait disparaître dautres à cause de leur stupide monopole

Chains(Channels) as those there: The Official IOC should not exist on you tube because they have removes it the others because of their stupid monopoly

  • The American commentator described Darbelet as a rank outsider. Odd description to apply to a former European champion, multi world cup and super world cup winner

  • that's a DDT in judo, proud and glory
