Can anyone please tell me are Jews white or not? It seems that this is paradoxical because my Jewish friends consider themselves white (although they're secular) but here Maher considers them a minority, and they consider themselves a Semitic Middle-Eastern people. That either mean Middle Easterners are white or Jews are non-white. This is not a facetious comment I'm genuinely curious as I've heard different answers. @elsblaugranas I think that it's not clear-cut, both in terms of how it's presented and in terms of how it actually is.
Some jews aren't white, such as Sephardic Jews (Moroccan, etc.), Ethiopian Jews, and basically jews of any non-white ethnicity (Judaism is, after all, a religion).
Similarly, Judaism being a religion, there are many Jews of non-Middle-Eastern ethnicity. I'm not sure if Ashkenazi Jews, the largest group, are descendents from the Middle East, but they sure seem caucasian.

Some jews aren't white, such as Sephardic Jews (Moroccan, etc.), Ethiopian Jews, and basically jews of any non-white ethnicity (Judaism is, after all, a religion).
Similarly, Judaism being a religion, there are many Jews of non-Middle-Eastern ethnicity. I'm not sure if Ashkenazi Jews, the largest group, are descendents from the Middle East, but they sure seem caucasian.

I guess that those who are descendents from the original Jews (whatever ethnic group they were) are part of the Jewish ethnicity. And those aren't descendents from them are Jewish in religion only, not in ethnicity.
It's like some Brits are called Smith & some are called Singh. Both have Brit nationality, but not ethnicity.

What I do know is that some Palestinians glorify him, to the point that the Holocaust is not taught in their schools. The Hitler - Arab alliance during WWII is a factor of admiration for Hitler apparent in Palestinian society. Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Arab leader in pre-state Israel under the British Mandate, was a staunch ally of Hitler.

Jordan, which is 75 percent Palestinian Arab was the only one to grant them citizenship, but did nothing to provide them permanent housing. Remember there are over a million arab Israelis, this is the same people as any other Palestinian, but who accepted Israel's offert to be part of the JEWISH state.
