these drums are probably recorded. the audio you're hearing is probably not from the camera

I'm not sure but I imagine there's a separate audio track. Meaning he mic'd the drums , and the audio is not from the camera itself...he just put them together :)

try putting a pillow inside ur kick drum. it will make ur drum sound more solid. or maybe try some dampers for kick drums or sumthin :D

my snare is all loud and blasty, no matter what i do to tune it or tighten the snare, it sounds the same. i want it to sound like his, can anyone help?

For me, i use a drum muffler.

i prefer moongels.

Make sure your snares are tight against the resonating head (or tight enough so they have some effect). You can muffle your snare by removing the rim, taking a strip of cloth 2-3" inches wide, and running it across the diameter of the drum (under the rim, so the strip lies on the bearing edges and touches the batter head). Now tighten and tune your snare as you normally would.

i would sugjest a muffler. once you have one of those on ur snare, im sure it wont play that loud blasty sound.

tune it lower but make sure to add some damping [moongel is perfect] as loosening it will cause more resonance.

try tuning both the bottom and the top head until they both have the same pitch. the try to tighten your snare.

you need an e-ring, plastic ring that fits around the top of your snare for about four dollars...there is also moongel...which serves the same purpose they are little gel pieces that go around the top of the snare for a bit of a higher price...these are all just muffling devices

It's a simple beat (The first one). Just bass gap snare gap bass gap snare gap. and on every gap, bass and snare there is a hi-hat. I don't know if that helped, but it's worth a shot =D
