"The war has ended for now and peace has been restored. But those who sacrificed themselves for the victory will return in the sequel, die and return again in a few more sequels after that, before enjoying a four part spin-off series for the yet to be released Game Boy Advance, from which they may or may not return once again."
recuerdo la primera ves que pase fin este juego en el 94' francamente llore de la emocion como todo niño, ahora solo queda la bella melodia de de esta clase de video juegos que realmente tenian espiritu y algo especial. buen juego, grandes recuerdos...
I dominated X, X2 and X3 on the snes. I could speedrun, win with less gear, etc. These days, I can't rock a game that hard and still have fun with it, and most games are too many button combos or just lose interest after a few stages. I still play X through X3, and I find new ways to beat it, and have fun with it every time.
On my Virtual Console,Sigma's face has been staring at me for 20 minutes or so now.Maybe I should turn it off before his fist busts through the top of the Nintendo Wii...
@PSISpecter Haha! Same exact situation here, man! lmao I was staring at my screen thinking "Now, I wanna turn it off, but what if something else comes up?" which is what led me to this video
Love the first song. When I was little I put a tape recorder up to the TV so I could listen to the song when ever. I had so much video game music on that tape... I wonder what happened to it.
Love the ending, one of the best ever. Man i cant even remember how many times id beat this game as a kid because of how much fun it was, but most importantly to watch that kickass ending,. X jus running though the city as the sun comes up. LOOVE IT
i loved this game as a kid, always and forever! and i see the similarities of this and the megaman maverick hunter x ending, definitely a revision! the song is beautfiul, too..! :D
Awesome! just Awesome! I beat this game when I was 2 and a half years old. Though th controller had an automatic shoot on it. I remember my mom taking the game away from me till I was six because everytime I wanted X to shoot, I said "Shoot". She didn't like that to much. This is my favorite game of all time. It makes me cry everytime i hear this music.
@Rama1118 Yeah, I played it back in the day on my SNES, and when this came out on the PS2 I picked it up. That plus a new TV tuner card resulted in the video you see.
@Rama1118 yeah it was hard but i got so good that i can beat the first 8 bosses with no power ups or armor parts ;P sigma is to hard not to use them though lol
@Rama1118 Yeah I used to play this all the time as a little kid, but never beat it until one day in 6th grade when I got a new snes controller and hammered the thing X4 was actually my favorite, but megaman x and megaman x3 had the best music by far
@Rama1118 yeah back in the early/mid 90s it seems that when beating most megaman games, it didn't reset back to the title screen unless you pressed reset on the screen saying "Presented by CAPCOM", with the exceptions of MM1, MM2, and MM6 on NES.
Heh, man old times... one thing I really didnt like was the name changes from the Jap to English. I mean in the jap version 'Chill Penguin' is called Icy Penguino... sounded more like a name, rather than some silly description. Cant remember the others names unfortunatly.
I played the japaness version first on one of those hard drive emulators you could plug into your SNES at a friends house those were the days.
@MaverickLoneshark I have to agree...I don't understand the music choice in that game for one...I mean...you can't take megaman X seriously with "j-pop remixing whatever" as the music tracks. Megaman is rock n roll - Heavy metal...and the snes version points this out clearly.
@fmthebaron i would buy it on virtual console despite the fact that i have 2 copies of the original cartridge, mega man x collection, mega man maverick hunter x, and a dozen roms.
btw, the virtual console is virtually dead in case you didn't know
Yeah, it's definetely my favorite Megaman series (been a fan of the series for a good eight years now XP) so if there's anything you want to know about it, feel free to ask me if you want.
well this is one of few games that can bring tears to my eyes not becuase of the music more like my childhood like when i was 6 now im 21 how time flies(what i would give to be able to be a kid agian)
god i miss this game.... love the first two songs of the end credits, they're awesome. it's too bad they dont have the soundtrack for this on sale like they do for final fantasy... :(
the whole game had great music but the ending theme was my favourite. i rememeber i used to sometimes play just to hear it, had to first go thru the boss everytime but it worth the wait
thank god i can just youtube the music now, instead of doin what i did hahah
@arverson actually, you could go in the options of the SNES version and listen to the game soundtracks. (beside of getting through the boss again and again XD)
checkout my megaman x let's plays!!!

The ending needs no remixing. Btw, I remember using my voice recorder to record the ending song on my cassette tape.

so THIS is what the ending looks like! wish the maverick hunter version redid this song instead of making a whole new one.

You heard them guys Zero won't come back! Capcom officialy stated it.
Sorry to disappoint you... oh fuck the second games plot revolves around zero's resurrection, nvm....

Just watched the Maverick Hunter X ending and I find myself thinking "How could you mess it up so badly, Capcom?!
With all due respect to Dr. Light's monologue, Zero's faded image in the sky is much more meaningful.
