We absolutely loved Sealab as kids. Wish they would bring it back on Saturday mornings :) I hate to see that new series that uses the footage from the old show and trashes it up!
Yea, it's benton's voice. At least JQ had some action and interesting characters for kids. This is just a little too well intentioned to be fun. Maybe it would make kids interested in diving or something, but as far as real action it's abysmal.
This show is some of my earliest memories watching cartoons. I loved this show. I was always into anything scifi. Another under the sea show was Marine boy.
@DreadlordFrips Well, can you blame them? This show is dreadfully boring, and rubbish. You're mind can't help but wander into dark territory and start making fun of the show immediately, and coming up with the most screwed up material possible. Gotta love Dolphin boy being strapped with meat to lure a deadly monster into a reactor core to kill them both.
I saw this when I was very young. I had no idea there was a 2021 spin-off. I have fond memories of their underwater world of orange wetsuits and big strange rectangular underwater 'cars'.
Hahahahahaha all i see here is Captain Murphy screaming about the Plague and the crippled kid stealing money from Make a wish Foundation. Sealab 2021 is so much better!!!!
I still piss myself laughing every time I see Stormy Waters, and hey it's the disabled kid trying to rip off the make a wish foundation too.. omg and Feng Shui dude. This is funny, even though it's the original.
How many times can they say "the key to tommorow" when this is a futuristic city and pioneering project that noone's done yet? (At least again, as I beleive Atlantis existed)
"Sealab 2020" originally ran as part of NBC's Saturday Morning schedule during the 1972-1973 season. One of the rare Hanna-Barbera produced adventure shows that focused not only on the action/adventure but also added some educational values. That was Hanna-Barbera's version of Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea but lasted one season.

I don't blame Sealab 2021 being insane considering how stupendously boring the original show is.

@honeegrrl "Okay where was I when this cartoon came out?"
1972. You would have been 1 year old when it first aired. I was born in 71 as well, and I could swear I saw this before, perhaps in reruns.

The voices...
I enjoy seeing the actual parts that became what they did on 2021. Like the evil wheelchair con kid, and the anti radio pirate boat people.

When CN use to play this back in the day, thought it had something to do with SeaQuest DSV. And is that the voice of Dr. Quest?
