  • The Dare Island Enigma is an adventure novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach see video book trailer

  • Hey, tell that guy to rub the coin harder and get the beach sand dug deeper into it....

  • @samurai2828 yea that should do it

  • @samurai2828 Funny wasn't it ! May as well use sand paper to clean it ! LOL

  • You might know this. But swing your detector like that is missing a lot. nice coin. Thnaks for sharing.

  • Dude thats awesome, I relic hunt in va, would love to try out the beaches. keep it up, good luck

  • LOL At 00:13-00:14

  • Just over your shoulder is Xenu standing. Google Xenu to free yourself.

  • Just got back to Oak Island. Added you to my subscription and site...

  • Cool find, man!!!-----dang I''d love to find some of them king gearge coppers--ha! or other old coins---ha! I'm a major contributor to LOST TREASURE MAGAZINE and I absolutely love hunting with metal detectors for treasures--ha!!!

  • Nuthin like digging up an ancient coin and immediately grinding beach sand into it with your thumb !!! LOL !!!

  • Hi, how its his value, thinking in dollars, about this coin...?

  • great video. didn't say what the coin is worth.

  • Jeeze... never have such luck now that I am a law abiding adult. Sure did find alot in Yorktown, VA as a kid though. Would dig through my dad's records of events in the area(most had been on Park Service prop.) . I'd come home with buttons, bullets and such from the civil war telling dad it had been found in Marlbank, I think that he knew better 'cause there had always been a warning after my story about not going onto Park Service Property. Great going guys, good finds!

  • I live there too! I have the same accent but it's not as profound as yours. Do you know if it is legal in corova? I think it would be great to do metal detecting there.

  • great find! was that a UK half crown?? I was lucky to find something similar in '80's, on a cold January day, just laying atop the sand in the wash on south OBX...no detector needed . ;)

  • WOW! I am so jealous!!! I walk the beach almost daily here and have never found anything:( But I have to admit I don't have a metal detector! What a find!! cool to see today:)

  • how much is that worth

  • great finds,keep looking...

  • i live ther

  • I thought you were not permitted to use detectors on OBX...isnt it a state park? Or is that just where the lighthouse is? I go every summer, but am interested in getting a detector as a hobby. I live near Jersey Shore

  • Metal detecting is allowed on the ocean beach from south Nags Head, north to the Virginia Stateline. south is park property.

  • Thanks for the info ! Good Luck on future hunts!

  • @dobber64 HEY, I'm a writer of articles for Lost Treasure Magazine and have hunted for 26 years now---since you live on a salt wter beach you need a good detector with either a multi-fequency or a PI unit--the PI=PULSE INDUCTION and can be used on saltwater beaches to ultimate effect------you can use a VLF like this fellow was doing but VLF detectors can have problems with coping with the effects of the mineralization of the salty water----a pulse won't but you have to dig everything-

  • @dobber64 I can't figure out why metal detecting isn't allowed. Bureaucratic BS at its finest. I guess they don't want a million holes in the sand....but if that were the case they would outlaw SandCastles! Oh, damn, shouldn't have said that, they just might do that too!

  • whoa, lucky guy, you found a very expensive coin, lol

  • great finds!!!

  • Thanks, Treasuredog :)
