I've had witnessed a nearly kidnap ones. I couldn't believe what the girl said. She must have been not even 8 years old and when the car pulled up she said.

"Mommy said man who say they have puppies and candy want to hurt me"

And she just kept walking the car kept tailing her so I walked over to her just to be sure that nothing would happen.

It freaks me out to know that people like that just drive down the street.

Why does the race card always come into play? Do people pull the same crap with white or Asian kids who get abducted? Do those schools get prosecuted for being racist against whites or Asians? Not likely. Prosecute the school and/or the aide for a MAJOR failure to take care of the kid and follow protocol. But don't take it too far and go nuts over the race thing too. Don't assume that because you're black, everyone only sees you as only that and stereotypes.

My son went to headstart .. a prek class at the ywca... One day I had gotten a ride from a friend who the program had no clue who he was... at the time I feared my ex would pick him up from the program... I sent my friend in and they released my son to this stranger! I was horrified... they were shocked when I walked in right after ... I withdrew my son from the program.

My school had protocols for picking up the kids. There was an incident years ago where a non-custodial parent came and took the kid. After that, the rule was changed:

1. If you were picking up your child, you had to come into the building after showing ID, or the child would be escorted to the car by a staff member.

2. If using the school bus, the kids were escorted to the bus by a faculty member.

3. During recess, we kept an eye on the kids.

why would they send their child to a school with no other african americans in the school anyways? poor child she should be able to indentify with another person of her color as well as identify with other kids outside of her race! it should be well diverse. and the school system there should be shamed! for that family to be going there for 4 yrs and some strange man comes to pick kendell up that should have been an automatic red flag!

You must not have kids or know them. I'm a teacher and sometimes when kids act a damned fool when their parents come to pick them up, they refuse and resist with their own parents and they have to go with them. So, I can see how someone might think, oh a kid just acting out. But at my school, our doors are locked and you can't get in and there is always an adult at the door. You have to show ID and have written permission to get kids. That is crazy.
