  • Im joining the military as a seal

  • ahh memories of pt and hearing this. fuck the military haters. we people in the military do a job just like anybody else. we get up at 4:45 for pt, eat our morning chow, then do our daily 8 to 5 job like anybody else and get weekends off and paid vacations! some days we wonder why we're being paid to do our job; other days we wonder if there is a paycheck worth our sacrifice.

  • I can play this on my trumpet

  • Ahhhhh....the memories.......

  • you normally heard the drill sergeants sing "you can't get IT up in the morning" to the privates at Fort Knox after a soldier cried out that his morning wood was gone during basic, it was hilarious.

  • Why people did you have too disrespect are military

We have not doing nothing too you all if you all did not Like it or not join the military army navy air force in marines national guard have respect for people who served for you

  • @debbiepaetoe not did any thing to me.... no. but killed others, possibly my ancestors, who knows.

"patriots always talk of dying for their country and never of killing for their country" - Bertrand russel.

Personaly i don't like being part of a nation that so openly advocates death and violence of others simply because our government disagrees with the government of

    their country of birth.

  • @fspalazzo1 however i take your point and i do understand the bravery it requires and i do admire people for putting them selves in harms way for the sake of others.

  • I tried listening to this WITH headphones on at FULL SOUND to wake myself up, IT DIDN'T DO SHIT FOR ME! -_-

  • This reminds me of scout camp! One of my fondest memories is waking up in the woods in an old tent, the summer morning light filtering through the trees and walking down to the flagpole with my troop. I miss those days so bad!

  • Fuck this song.

  • I have this hellish song as an alarm. It has not failed me once for 3 years.

  • Gotta think, i know soliders hate waking up to this sometimes, but just think. The player had to wake up before everyone else.

  • There's a soldier in grass,

with a bullet up his ass,

Take it out! Take it out!

    Like a good girl scout

  • This music brings back bad memories...

  • Reveille played at 0700 hours daily on the US Installation I work on

  • GET THE FUK UP!!!!

  • @13Mrpioneer lmfao i rem that

  • This is the "Call to post", not Reveille. This is how they start the Kentucky Derby.

    Duh.

  • I imagine 500 musketeers rushing to their death while the guy on the trumpet thanking god he knows how to play reveille

  • 6:30? We ran the flag up@0500.... then lowed that Flag@17:00 for 3 years at Nellingen. (Honor Guard isn't always fun)

  • When i first got to the base my husband was assigned too I woke up to this at 6:30am fucking cussing my ass off kuz i didnt know what was going on lol

  • "... and they're off......"

  • I love the US version of the lyrics. Yep, there's lyrics allright. I was looking it up on Wikipedia, there's a few US versions that pop up, but I love the first one the most. I can't get 'em up, I can't get 'em up, I can't get 'em up this morning; I can't get 'em up, I can't get 'em up, I can't get 'em up at all! The corporal's worse than the privates, The sergeant's worse than the corporals, Lieutenant's worse than the sergeants, And the warrant's worst of all!
  • "Congratulations, you've landed aboard another on-time Ryanair flight."

  • I hear this every morning here on base as a spouse

  • its called REVEILLE (wake up! in french) for a reason. its NOT YOUR SONG, broke fat merkins

  • I feel like Im back at Fort Benning Georgia.

  • Woke up every morning to this. Reveille plays, and then "Good morning camp mystic!" Then the bell rings. "Thats the thirty minute bell for breakfast! Thats the thirty minute bell for breakfast!"

  • reminds me of summer camp

  • I can't get em up I can't get em up I can't get em up in the morning I can't get em up I can't get em up I can't get em up at all. The corporal's worse than the privates The sergeant's worse than the corporals Lieutenant's worse than the sergeants But the warrant's worst of all. I can't get em up I can't get em up I can't get em up in the morning I can't get em up I can't get em up I can't get em up at all.

  • @yourdemiser Still a combat MOS lol i just assumed because when i went through it was all Infantry, now i hear they got tanks and POGs MOS's training there for basic

  • @POVdatabase Yeah. Cav scout BMT and AIT used to be in Fort Knox Kentucky. Just recently changed.

  • When I was in the Navy aboard ship it went like this. Reveille, Reveille. All hands heave out and trice up. The smoking lamp is lit in all authorized spaces. Now Reveille.

  • After having to get up everyday at 0500 while attending COLS (Cadet Officer Leadership School - I'm a 10th grade AFJROTC cadet) at the Citadel in Charleston, SC, this tune will always get me out of bed. No matter what time it is, I will always jump out of bed to this tune at any given moment.

  • I remember in basic training they used a record for reveille and about 1 1/2 seconds before it started blaring, there was a scratch on the record we'd hear and we knew in a second it would go off, totally demoralizing but no time to mourn, we had to get our asses out of the rack and out in the street.! It's easy to laugh at now 48 years later! LOL

  • does anyone know where i can get the sheet music for these ??

  • @TheMachinegunkelly Yep! Google

  • LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! GET OUTTA THE FREAKIN' RACK NOW!!!

  • The worst tune in military history.

  • I remember the first time I heard this...my eyes opened wide with the lights going, and a trash can goes flying down the isle between our beds, hits some dude's bed..and I hear....."Get outta yer god damn beds!! Move! Move! Before I rip yer freakin' head off!!" I thought to myself..."Ah, FML....".

  • It's make me miss my day in the Rangers.

  • this makes me sick.

  • I remember in basic we were always awake before this song even started...fire watch would come around and get us up an hour early so we could get a head start on things...it made the mornings a little easier. Hell, we even did morning P.T. before the morning P.T. just so we could wake up some. lol

  • The bugle speaks to me: It's time to get up, It's time to get up, It's time to get up in the morning! It's time to get up, It's time to get up, It's time to get up right now! Some day I'm gonna kill him, That guy who plays the bugle. Some day I'm gonna kill him, Then spend my life in bed. It's time to get up, It's time to get up, It's time to get up right now!
  • This reminds me of Scout camp!

  • lol.. This should be fun in August ill be in USAF BMT

  • Sgt. Petersen: [after being woken up by Sgt Muldoon] 3:30! Is that right, Sarge?

    Sergeant Muldoon: That's right, Soldier-boy. That's right!

Sgt. Petersen: We'd better get some sleep! We've got a hell of a lot of work to do tomorrow!

  • what is the first thing you remember when you listen to this kind of military bugle tap?

    GUMMY BEAR SONG!

  • god this song will be my worst nightmare in basic grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • FUCK THIS HYMN!!! This majes me remember my saya of hell at the beggining of the year of my military school! Days of hell: RAT WEEK!!!! Ruano God I'm not a RAT anymore haha

  • This used (emphasize on used) to be my alarm clock in the morning. I had an Uncle that was in the military and one weekend he was staying at our house. At 4 in the morning this went off (I had a TV show that was coming on..) My Uncle promptly got up, walked into my room, and broke my alarm clock before going back to bed T_T

  • @inugirl1216 Awesome story

  • @inugirl1216 That so ironic because it happened to me.

  • @inugirl1216 your uncle understood the importance of BMT PTS, respect. And you learned a valuable lesson.

  • @inugirl1216 lmao guess he needed a break

  • I got this as a ringtone for my phone and now it's my alarm in the morning :)

  • ah, I have such found memories at bmt, hearing this every morning at 445 was one of them (not really)

  • At one of my Band concerts, when we were finished and breaking things down, i played Reveille, knowing how many Veterans and retired military were in the audience. i think i got three shoes thrown at me, and my grandfather ran up and slapped me with his hat... i played it again.

  • @radioguy55 thats not funny dude. just because there are vets there doesnt mean its a great time to play Reveille. Reveille is meant to begin the day and isn't just some funny joke that you can play cause you think its cool youre in band

  • Comment removed

  • @cZULUs91 i didn'y play it as a joke, i simply wanted to play it because were leaving and i thought "why the hell not?" if you would look at my channel, you would be able to see that i am quite patriotic, and know not make fun of stuff like that. i'm sorry if you were offended, that wasn't my intention when i posted the comment.

  • @radioguy55 win

  • OH I AM HIGH SPEED THIS SHIT GETS MY BLOOD FLOWING HAHAHA sike. hated this shit in basic. glad i dont hear it here on Main post LOL

  • America! Fuck yeah!

  • Marine recruits rarely if ever can hear reveille over the sound of flying trash cans and angry Drill Instructors yelling "reveille, reveille, reveille. Get up, get out of the rack. NOW"

  • lol ill be hearing that in a couple of years...

  • Heard this every morning in jail at wayside supermax. Damn those correctional officers and their searches!!!! Lol

  • that's my new alarm clock !!!

  • "reveille, reveille, all hands heave out and trice up. uniform of the day is as follows. navy working uniform wear, ball cap secure, watch cap wear down, ski mask secure, gloves wear thin, scarf wear, turtleneck wear, parka wear with liner. flags carry, guidon carry. set chill condition green."

    ahh memories.

  • @hotrod4u2 Exactly.

  • @tonytonytonyargh probably at a military base/over a speaker system/at 7:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time

  • I hear that every fucking morning at 7:30 because I was moved into a house across the riverbed from HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UT oh yeah the base has it recorded on these big honken speakers because nobody likes to play the bugle any more

  • ,|,, (>.< ,,|,

  • I live in sill for a while and with the big guns sounds better

  • @TORRESSOTO1 that's enough to scare you out of bed.

  • Who performed?

    Where performed?

    When performed?

  • Retreat is the best thing to hear

  • GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!

GET UP GET THOSE BEDS MADE

GET DRESSED SHAVE FALL DOWN FOR REVEILLE IN TEN MINUTES

Uniform of the day, ABU parka, NO LINERS

    I repeat Parka WITH liners!

    EVERY fucking morning...

  • @Eihger

"Uniform of the day, ABU parka, NO LINERS

    I repeat Parka WITH liners!"

So they say one thing and the contrary immediately after just to confuse you and have a "reason" to yell at you ?

    Tss ... drill sergeants ...

  • @Eihger Fall down for Reveille? I believe you mean fall down for PT. And the way I remember was that the beds would be partially made with any remaining time, then breakfast would either be before or after showering and making beds.

  • .........five more minutes.

  • Drop your cocks and grab your socks! BOO WHOOP!

  • @JagermisterT That should be the army's new motto.

  • Rise and Shine

See the flag you went to sleep by is still there

  • jesus i dreaded this song at boot camp

  • "LIGHTS ON!!! GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP!!!! I SAID WAKE THE PISS UP!!!"

    ....good times lol

  • Even worse, the First Sgt. required me to lead PT and D & C every morning during that week. See, I never was actually able to pass a PT test. My Sgts. would sign me off as passed so I could on to the next phase of my training. The guys liked me as a PT leader because they knew it would be easy. They also liked me to lead D & C because it amused them to hear the 1st sgt's door slam before he strode across the parade ground to yell at me for some confused mistake.

  • The worst thing about reveille: I did BCT at Ft. Lewis, went to AIT at Ft. Dix and Chaplain Asst training at Ft. Hamilton. Assigned permanent party back at Ft. Lewis and promoted to E-5. Finally was able to live off post and have bankers hours and no company duty. First Sgt. decides to send me to NCO Academy. In spite of myself, I do well and am Honor Graduate. What's my reward? I have to be at the barracks before reveille 7 days out of 28 to get the guys up!!

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT IM TAKIN A SHIT!!

  • This means PT is almost over!

  • All real soldiers and marines hate this song.

  • @Nightmonkey17 This song = no more pleseant dreams and back to suckish reality.

    War sucks. lol.

  • Many years ago, at MCRD, San Diego, I waited the lifting af the armature of the record player. This was followed by the steady hissing sound of the needle on the record. The first bars of "Revllie" sounded. Toady it brings back the memories.

    Semper Fi,

    MGSGT E. Becker

  • i grew to hate this song haha. go navy!

  • @archie13211 military fam?

  • Man almost broke my ankle jumping out of bed this morn cuz i thought i heard this and my sergent yelling at me this morn lol, and i havent been to bootcamp in almost 2 years

  • "Reveille Reveille Reveille, All hands heave to and trice up." Go Navy!

  • I can't get them up I can't get them up i cant get them up in the morning I cant get them up I cant get them up I can't get them up at all

  • Wake up Privates!!! Move move move!!!

  • TAKE BACK YOUR GOVERMENT FROM SOCIALISM,AMERICA IS IN THE RED ZONE #1 STOP THE BLEEDING OF SPENDING #2 DEFENSE #3 JOBS #4 EDUCATE THE YOUNG(1-16 GRADES) (demand no ear mark spending)

  • @hotrod4you2 i definitely agree on the ear mark bs. it pisses me off

  • @hotrod4you2 retard. socialism is a good thing. List of the good things we have that are socialised: Fire Dpt. Police Dept. Post Office. Need i continue?

  • @hotrod4you2 shut up idiot. What does that have to do with this video?

  • Thanks to basic training I now want to puke everytime I hear this!

  • just like camp*

  • I am going to learn to hate this song in basic. Leaving for the AF BMT in February...

  • @Archertom im leaving for basic in febuary too. ft jackson south carolina

  • @Archertom

Leaving for AFBMT in 3 weeks :)

  • @Archertom
