I think it's much more rewarding to have 1 person who truly appeciates what you do than a big confused crowd yelling and screaming and not even listening to what you say.
I like your calm attitude in conveying interesting ideas...
I happened upon your video while looking to see how easy (or not) it would be to find my taxi song so up to a point you are right. However, having found your taxi song by accident I then became interested in your songs and especially in your terrific guitar playing. In my opinion, if I can inspire just one person, then it has all been worth it. Keep doing what you believe in.
Well, some absolutely useless videos are among most popular, most viewed videos on youtube. Someone put some idiot opening his mouth so wide he can put a can of coke in there, it sells! It gets like thousands of hits.
On the other hand, I doubt whether you would like it, if you had more viewers. There would definitely be some of those Youtube idiots here and you probably wouldn't have wanted to see/read them here.
Glad to see you posting again Dino!! I totally agree with the mainstream music being crap, there are better singer/songwriters/performers on YT than there is on mainstream. I also agree no one should get caught up in the YT hopes of getting famous that seems to be a niche that is at the mercy of the young in the click YT powers that be`s hands, nothing at all to do with talent really. Just another form of mainstream marketing no longer youtube but theytube now.
I know what you mean but I don't think google really want it to be that way. But when you have famous people on youtube, the rest of us can give up any hopes unless we are exceptionally good (or lucky) and most of us, including me, are not. Chocolate Rain or Numa Numa... that's the X factor... I don't have it.
Those 'females' are just little girls with big dreams and if they become famous they become prisoners of their dreams and pay the price (having to stand up to the crowds/producers expectations and that stress) But YOU can play whatever music you like, post it and find the people who also think and like the same music you do and like and then open an account and start charging money, and also find people in your area that like your music and are willing to pay for it.
I perfer grassroot youtubing, once comments crack 500 on a video they become uniform, disposable and generally uninteresting. Then again I almost always priviledge the little narratives other the big ones.
Exactly! It's true in music, and I feel it's true in writing, too...
On YouTube...Being yourself truly isn't what's rewarded. YouTube is completely about artifice. It's about crowd pleasing. A long time ago a user called neotropic [I think] got a 19 year old blond girl with ample attributes, to read his very well thought ideas and his view count went up by more than 400%. 'Course I'm not sure anyone was really listening to his ideas much in either case. ;~)
right on, bro..!!...this is a sensible, human, real, sensitive straight talk video.....if people dont appreciate it, its because they dont want to be sensible, human, real, sensitive or straight....lol....its much more fun to be crazy, horny, violent, argumentative, abusive and controversial....what it boils down to is being rated high for degrading yourself and others...no?..or you can take the high road, and become greater..like you choose to..take some comfort in that...
I must reguard this issue ur one UGLY MOTHER FUCKER!!
