one of my teachers pulled out a bass and amp today. then pulled up his music library on the computer, it was all rancid and social d. only thing that sucks is the bell rang to leave before he could play anything..hes always talked about being in a band before but i never woulda thought that living in south dakota anyone else at my jock filled school would listen to punk..ESPECIALY a teacher?! hah just thought id share it

im not a huge cobain fan either,although he was great...u are vastly underestimating husker du,and if u call then too pop punk,u must be talking about the albums after "new day rising"...they cant be labeled,which is why they chose their name...he said it was timeless,ambiguous,and would not label them...to not check out pixies albums "surfer rosa" or "doolittle" you would be doing a great disservice to yourself...may take repeated listens,but musical legends idolize the pixies
