I just bought a GH5 guitar and I'm really happy with it but my only problem is that the strum bar is kind of squeaky(sometimes when I downstrum or strum up and down fast it will squeak). The guitar is BRAND NEW and it started sqeueaking in 2 days(after passing guitar hero 3 on expert). Do you think that the squeaking will go away after I use the guitar much?I'd try WD40 but maybe it could turn something that's just annoying into an actual PROBLEM(messing the inside so I'd rather not).Help pls?
@RaiceaAndrei111 You can try spraying WD40 on a q-tip and rubbing the q-tip on the edges of the strum bar. Don't spray it directly on the strum bar because if it gets inside it will most likely ruin the guitar. Cooking spray like PAM should work as well. (used that to fix my squeeky door recently lol) Unfortunately it's a known issue with the GH5 guitars.

There's a video of some kid showing people how he did that on youtube. Look up /watch?v=w8cvcXMWNk0. It doesn't always work though. Try that first maybe?

@Hakuru15 Console for sure. Arcade version has no whammy bar and the guitars are heavy along with the sticky or non working buttons from poor maintenance at the arcades... so yeah console over arcade for this game for sure!
@ANONYMOUS1999ish Ahh I'm guessing the orange note is the problem eh? Well if you learn the new hand position of pinky on orange and index on red and practice alternating between that and pinky on blue index on green that will help A LOT! That is hard to re-learn, but once you do you'll find hard is much easier to play. I suggest moving on to Hard/Expert Bass as a transition point from Medium Guitar to Hard Guitar. That might help level you up better than making the jump to hard guitar as well.

Here's a tip at the end where there's just orange and then a blue note comes up every so often. Just hold the blue and the orange and double strum. as long as the lower notes over take the higher notes you can just hold down the note before it and just strum without having to tap each time a different color pops up. But, your way is great too, just saying. 10/10 :)
@Galerians87 Thanks for the tip but I already do that. I just don't do it for super easy parts like that, only for pinky trills or for very fast blue to blue orange chord transitions. That tip applies for most combinations as long as you let go of the higher fret button before hitting the lower. I just don't see a need to over complicate an easy section is all. ^_^

hey um just in case if you were a GH fan....GH is officially dead, Activision stopped all production including DLC...so if you have DLC from GH I'm sorry....we're gonna have to jump ships from GH to RB....this is a sad day
@Virus2020 yeah I heard. No more guitar hero stuff after this month. It's all good. All the previous content is still available and I'll probably just get Rock band DLC instead now that I wont be buying more GH games.
No No No....no more guitar hero for a loooong time....they stopped all production including DLC....it would have been fine if they stopped releasing games I can accept that since I have more than enough, however stopping DLC as well?....god damn it that was the most important factor I wanted to make my GH library huge slowly and surely....and that goes flying off the window as well
@Virus2020 Basically they said, February is the last month that they will release all previously promised DLC. All previous versions of Guitar Hero will continue to be sold and all previously released DLC will still be able to be purchased online, they just will not have any NEW DLC or games in the future. You can still buy old DLC if you want to expand your collection, you just can only get so many songs though. If you have all the old stuff then that's the end of your collection. :(
The DLC I have not downloaded are songs I don't want, it would be a waste of money buying songs I'm not gonna play...I guess it's rock band time for me, but even they are suffering. They're RB3 sales are horrid at best...might increase with new fender guitar in march...though I highly doubt it as well, that guitar would be too expensive, no casual gamer wants to take the time and learn how to play a Guitar...though RB has a huge library of DLC so I guess it would be worth a shot
@TheBloodEagle27 Well it helps when you know the song. Basically every time I hear a song on the radio I imagine it being in rock band or guitar hero and I can imagine when there would be chords and when I'd activate. It's very common that the chorus will have a lot of chords and will be a good place to activate, for example. Once you play the game for a while you get an idea of when to activate for songs you're familiar with. For songs I've never heard before I have a harder time.

@nachomania15 No, I wasn't 3rd I was 4th, but yeah I just don't like that show. It was an embarrassment as a real tester doing the humiliating stunts they put us through.I didn't watch the 2nd season and there wasn't much fighting in the house. We weren't around each other all the time like in the 2nd season so there wasn't as much conflict and a lot of shadiness going on behind the scenes outside of the house that some of us didn't find out about til later. :p

I didn't know the star path and was just uploading all the songs as soon as I FCed them pretty much. I haven't gone back to get higher scores on any of the songs yet as I haven't had the time to play lately.

@TheBloodEagle27 Well it helps when you know the song. Basically every time I hear a song on the radio I imagine it being in rock band or guitar hero and I can imagine when there would be chords and when I'd activate. It's very common that the chorus will have a lot of chords and will be a good place to activate, for example. Once you play the game for a while you get an idea of when to activate for songs you're familiar with. For songs I've never heard before I have a harder time.

@nachomania15 No, I wasn't 3rd I was 4th, but yeah I just don't like that show. It was an embarrassment as a real tester doing the humiliating stunts they put us through.I didn't watch the 2nd season and there wasn't much fighting in the house. We weren't around each other all the time like in the 2nd season so there wasn't as much conflict and a lot of shadiness going on behind the scenes outside of the house that some of us didn't find out about til later. :p

@TheBloodEagle27 Thanks. As I stated in the description this was a first time full combo so it was a sightread. I didn't know the star path and was just uploading all the songs as soon as I FCed them pretty much. I haven't gone back to get higher scores on any of the songs yet as I haven't had the time to play lately.
