I just wanted to say I am praying for you guys and I know how you feel. My monther had Huntington's Chorea. She died when I was 9. I remember having to deal with that and caring for her. It is hard. I also worry that my sister and I will get it. I know it is tough but just keep you faith and you can deal with anything. God bless you!
Ive just had a blood test to see if i have the hd gene . I will know on the 12 of december if i do . I just pray for all thoses going through this and for the people that care for them . I hope im clear
@ultragarrison Hi I had a gene test done at guys hospital in london . And thank the good lord im hd free and can go on with my life . Babies are the next thing on my list . What a christmas gift i couldnt have asked for more. The people at guys were just great .

The worst thing is that the last part of the body effected by this illness is the emotional/coginitve side of the brain. So that means that while all this is going on in your body, while your being fed, changed and treated like a brain dead moran you know EXCATLY what is going on. I am studying nursing and one of patients has HD

In addition to funding research for a cure, the government and insurance companies should provide free In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with Pre-Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) testing to exclude embryos with the HD gene to anyone at-risk for HD who wants it. Even those who don't want to know if they have HD can have kids that will never get the disease or be able to pass on the gene. HD could be eradicated in one generation, saving the government billions in future long term healthcare for HD patients.
