  • 2 things. 1, this isn't just random noise. It's a code. A code we are not meant to ever decipher. 2. The code is from one group to another, both most secretive and sinister in nature. To the man who truly decrypts this, I could only imagine the color being drained from his face as he discerns great horrific truths or messages.

  • I heard this freaky creepy shit on my Alarm Clock/Radio.

A week later, get on cracked and read about this in an article.

    SUCH A FUCKING COINCIDENCE

  • Sounds like the beginning of "Honeybabysweetiedoll" by VH...

  • Too much energy for the transmiter.

  • this sounds like the encryption machines i worked on in the navy

  • Feedback, as any fellow musician could tell you. Maybe they have a mike on a stand slowly turning closer and further away from a speaker. Listen to some Hendrix live and youll hear what Im talking about.

Dont know why someone would want to broadcast feedback for years. I wonder if this is hiding another signal. Multiplexing.....

  • @864208642 Its LINCOMPEX-XBR encryption, so no way near feedback like you say :p

  • @GrumpyGrebo LOL...... Yeah, Hendrix was a SPY!!!! :D

  • @864208642 Damn you and your wordsorcery!

  • It's 12:57 AM as I post this, and I picked the absolute worst possible time to start this video.

  • Anyone mocking the creepiness of this, is either lying, or watching this by daylight.

  • @robertstryker2 I'm watching this by daylight... ish... (5:50 PM) and I'm creeped out like fucking big time!

  • I always wanted a radio station that pays homage to the SFX tracks from The Matrix!

  • Sounds like feedback from faulty transmitters, but it could be something else

  • 6 People got extremely scared listening to this.

Also, why is that Russian number station have Uboa on it?

  • So im not a techhead, but is there anything strange about the signal? any sort of information or is it just transmitter noise?

  • @OdorlessShrimp Try the two links in the video description.

  • Ugh... Weak Dubstep. >___<

  • Damn alien overlords & their longwinded shopping lists.

  • Want this as a ringtone.

  • @LikaLaruku hold your phone up to your speakers and use your voice record...i dont think you have to worry about quality on this one hehe

  • After about two minutes I forgot this was a numbers station and thought "actually, this would make quite a nice ambient album. I'd probably buy this if it was on the Amazon Mp3 store"...

  • What happens if you speed up the sound? Have you tried this?

  • @bazem The video finishes quicker :)

  • @19780433 hahahahahaha

  • @bazem If you chuck the sound data around enough you can get Jedward.

  • This reminds me of the "Silent Hill" music!

  • This freaked my cat out. She was asleep, and now she looks all alarmed!

  • I find this strangely relaxing. ><

  • @alpacas52 same here, and i have the impression it is a repeating signal

  • 4:06 you can clearly backround noise, trainstation possibly something else.

  • @Kardumel Any clicks, ticks, crackles, and pops, are merely static... this was recorded on shortwave radio after all.

  • Sounds like a radar test for wifi 'bugs'. Could also be translated as math, for those interested in non-linear equations.

  • @Kardumel Not at all.

  • @Kardumel This has nothing to do with wi-fi, this is shortwave, wi-fi is a wireless internet system

  • Sounds like a radar test for wifi 'bugs'.

  • uh so am i suposed to here something freaky or interesting

  • @dashsabe I assume you mean 'hear' and not 'here'... Well, nothing freaky really. You may find it interesting if you have a general interest in short wave listening or short wave radio in general, particularly utility stations. Otherwise, no.

  • I swear, it's like they are trying to brainwash me, except they're convinced my brain is located in my ass.

  • This fucking hurts my brain.

  • Im in England, what frequency do I have to input the find this?

  • Sounds like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion decided to do a duet after all.

  • We should send these kinds of signals into space. No aliens gonna want to invade us if they hear this fucked up shit coming from earth

  • @theshroomguy Ever watch Mars Attacks? This is out ultimate weapon!

  • This is what Pinkie Pie and Osaka listen to on radio every day.

  • It sounds like a .txt document converted to a .wav is being broadcast.

  • @UgliStiK14 Elaborate. There are an infinite number of ways to convert a .txt file (pure text) to .wav (pure wave) so I suspect your idea is entirely invalid.

  • @GrumpyGrebo How would that make my idea invalid in any context? The method of conversion doesn't make a difference. There are an infinite number of ways to convert any file to any other format as well, so it's not like this is a special case. It was kind of meant to be a silly comment in the first place, so you don't need to get so hard assed about it, replying with a comment that makes even less sense.

  • @UgliStiK14 Really.

  • This would be awesome ambiance in a horror movie or a horror survival video game.

  • hey i got into the station and im hearing chatter between people

  • @ianster0102 Somehow, I seriously doubt it.

  • @Hanglands not inside of it

  • @Hanglands When the station was up there were periods of chatter within it you know...

  • how bout you recerse the video??? IM GOING TO DO THAT!!!!!!!

  • I just fucking shit myself...

  • Don't be too shocked. Someone finally managed to record my fucking tinnitus. Yeah, that's what I hear all day, every day! Keep pushing those iPod headphones into your ears and cranking it up...and you'll get to enjoy it too!

  • It has an eerily relaxing quality to it.

  • this gives me creeps

  • THE NUMBERS MASON. WHAT DO THEY MEAN?

  • @mew6112 Thanks for watching and commenting, but this isnt a numbers station.

  • @Hanglands What do you suppose it is? It sounds like open feedback (as posted) or some kind of radar oddity...

  • @mew6112 Black ops...gay

  • @mew6112 LMAO

  • @mew6112 THEY MEAN YOU PAID 50 DOLLARS FOR A SHITTY GAME!

  • i think he is out of tune

  • whats the fuck i am hear

  • ...now approximate on 2188 kHz !

  • I liked the part where it was terrifying.

  • @lostenmusic You mean the whole damn thing from start to finish?

  • Is it sad that I love this?

  • What the hell. This song made my eyes water.

    Jesus.

  • Well, now that it's on you tube, it's only a matter of time before some rap 'artist' samples it....

  • LINCOMPLEX? yes. US Navy? not always. Voice? no. Possible to decrypt without the 'key'? absolutely NOT. Not even the Chinese with ALL their computer geeks working on this 24/7 for a century will come close.

  • EXTREME EAR RAPE

  • LINCOMPEX

  • Shut the hell up Justin Bieber! Even with autotune lowering your voice, you still sound bad

  • The guys of the IARU have piled this Signal on 3633kHz. It's a digital data transmission from the turkish army ;)

  • I absolutely love that Lady Gaga - Bad Romance is in the suggestions for this video.

  • @DoyleProperties.... Why would anyone want to watch some rubbish about Planning Applications in Torbay?

  • @DoyleProperties Ahh, those pesky Illuminati! Seriously dude, WTF?

  • This thing sends chills down my back...

  • Real freakin' creepy stuff, this, no matter what it's source is.

  • This sounds like one of the hunters from Half Life 2: Episode 2

  • It is a shame the station does not transmit in AM aka DSB.

I don't hear any synchronizing signals, but then again you did not trace this out with a software waterfall "Time vs Frequency" display.

  • Post-rock music.

  • Hmmm. Sounds to me like human voices slowed waaaaaay down, with whistling sounds added as dazzle camouflage. Be interesting to speed this up about 5 times, forwards, then backwards. Definitely not feedback. No one is going to have *that* many open mikes, especially in the Navy! Maybe for a couple of seconds, once every few weeks, but not 24/7. Get real. No, it's clearly encrypted voice communications.

  • Well, according to my Navy friend, this is an experimental type of sonar that is supposed to be used to jam homing torpedoes. The underwater equivalent of ECM, if you will. He can hear it from the engine room while they're testing it; it's loud.

  • Oh, and I thought I'd gotten over my fear of Silent Hill radio static...cheers

  • @Chappeh5 Wait, why are you asking me for permission? I didn't put this online, and I could care less what you download. xD

  • I wish I'd never heard this. They've really freaked me out. I don't care what they might be- its the scariest sound I've ever heard ><

  • @thereefshark : I'm puzzled: what, exactly, are you scared of? How do you figure these encrypted radio communications are going to hurt you? Surely you've heard more frightening sounds? Such as the sound of a drunk driver flooring the gas in his pickup? Or a soft pitter-patter of feet following you late at night? Many sounds are more frightening than some noises on the radio.

  • @lonewolfintj this sound is just so fucking unharmonic that it scares the shit out of people. it gave me huge nightmares too

but now i just listen to these stations and im not afraid at all..? i have no idea xD

  • I can make this noise by holding the button down on two walkie talkies and holding them next to each other. The unscheduled and seemingly random broadcasts from naval bases make me think that it's just feedback from malfunctioning transmittors. I have a friend who is a naval engineer. I'll ask him about this.

  • @BlitztheDragon Yeah, one theory is that its open feedback. But check the two links in the video description also.

  • @BlitztheDragon

My sister worked as an FBI Lawyer for a while, dealing with terrorism and covert ops. When I asked her about it, (and also counting/numbers stations) she said (essentially) "I am not going to tell you."

Even if it is just feedback, I am betting that anyone who knows what this is will give the exact same response.

  • @wakrusgumbo Eh, he might have told me it was classified if he were actually working on it, but my guess is he heard the details via scuttlebutt. Regardless, open feedback and radio jamming are both fairly plausible in my mind. There's another "incarnation" of this "station" that sounds more like scrambled voices. I believe it's in the list to the right.

  • This made me feel extremely nervous.

I'm not the type of person to believe whatever I see and hear. In fact, I always approach these things in a skeptical manner. This, however, is genuinely creepy. My cat was also in the room when I played this. He stared wide-eyed at my computer for a moment before bolting the fuck out.

Then again, it probably doesn't help that I'm listening to this at 12:30 AM.

  • ... It's kind of pretty actually. :|

  • @Accisma Interesting. I'll definitely check the article out! Thanks for your response :)

  • I like the bit where it's making a weird noise...oh wait...

  • i told my friend im so bored and he sent me this video

    WTF is this?!

    >:|

  • @bemahfriend its a weirdass sound transmitted through a radio staion called The Backward Music Station

  • I like it. It sounds like a mechanical whale.

  • hey, isn't this the new Justin Beiber song?

  • @whitedwarf13 LMFAO.

  • creepy?

  • this sounds similar to signals from space, spacecrafts, planets, received by radio telescopes into audible sound.

  • @QrxQrx Perhaps, but just check the links in the video decsription for the popular thories... Cheers for watchin'

  • try listening to it and running the vuvazela button alongside it!

  • When I heard this, it was around 2 AM at night. I was alone in my room. As odd as this sounds, I felt like, by listening to this, there was a presence in my room. Like I wasn't alone. I got so paranoid that I actually couldn't bring myself to listen to the rest.

What's the point of this radio station anyway? I'm intrigued!

  • @AnimangaArtist Hi there, thanks for watching and commenting. Check the two links in the video description for more information. Cheers.

  • @AnimangaArtist One time I put this on loop (with lower volume, lol) when I went to sleep.

  • @RevEngEspc Hahaha no kidding? Well it had the opposite effect on me. Haha.

  • @AnimangaArtist That's why it reminded me of white noise, but everyone was all like "FYIEIGBWJITGNQENNQ GUHOEW" not exactly but ya'know.

  • @CaramelDancen white noise sounds nothing like that, its just static. i dont feel like uploading a sample of it now but go listen to it at watch?v=gZrH00YfiXU

  • I'm scared, halfway through this my power and internet shut off for 30 minutes.

  • GLaDOS is back

  • @90deweydog :P, I actually laughed at this lol !

most people will say this had something to do with Giygas, but an undead GLaDOS makes more sense :P .

  • I'm not sure why, but I like listening to this.

  • I listen to very loud music to no effect to my ears whatsoever.. but this actually hurt a bit

  • Sounds like the Planet's cries from Final Fantasy VII.

  • Cosmic background radiation? I've heard of pulsar interference with shortwave, so I dunno. Maybe?

  • lady gaga is always one of the related videos.

  • @EternalExodus because lady gaga's music sounds a lot like this

  • somebody should make a techno tune using these transmissions

  • Sounds like... robot whale song? Pretty weird, but I find this pretty calming, actually.

  • have you tried to pass these sounds through spectrogram?

  • @SargonAnkro Yes, it makes pretty patterns but doesnt show anything particularly useful.

  • @Hanglands

maybe those patterns ARE what's special. which kinda makes me twitch, personally.

  • lady gagas one of the related videos

  • @kamosko99 Yes, but she's nowhere near this good!

  • This still sounds better than ke$ha

  • THEN WHO WAS PHONE?

  • That's not the BMS, that's the FADERS station :p

  • wow, when i listen to the this record i'm able to focus on my homework . thnks to whoever posted it

  • I think it's white noise.

  • @CaramelDancen Then you have no idea what white noise is.

  • @CaramelDancen it's obviously purple noise...

  • @Epim3theus In retrospect it might be mauve

  • @CaramelDancen white noise is a steady tone almost silent noise such as an empty station with nothing but static.

  • For some reason I have a hard time not laughing at the sounds, although I end up envisioning Pripyat.

  • I don't know the nature of this sounds, but i can't stop listenig. i love this.

  • Screws on glass, nails on chalkboards, dieing whales, rusty car breaks....

  • Sounds like Fripp and Eno to me

  • This is surprisingly addictive. It's like hypnotoad. You don't like it but you gotta continue listening to it.

  • @Kuhlfurst this is because there is message that is being picked up by your brain buti Just cant decipher it so it keeps you listning untill it finds a spot it can decode

  • between 3:35 and 3:50 there are some very recognizable sounds produced. kind of a background to the already overwhelming noise. specifically the blip at 3:38-4:05 area. any specific knowledge about those frequencies?

sry, got the times wrong on the first question.

  • @323504 Hi there, if you check the video description there are a couple of links. That is about as nuch as I know about this station.

  • between 5:35 and 5:50 there are some very recognizable sounds produced. kind of a background to the already overwhelming noise. specifically the blip at 5:45-5:47 area. any specific knowledge about those frequencies?

  • Crap...I don't know why, but it doesn't make me feel cold, nor uneasy, more like....You'll call me insane/a troll/insert some random thing here, but it's like somethings almost calling me...Neutral, but it's weird....

  • what the hell...

it wants to destroy my pc's speakers fukin' radio station

  • Comment removed

  • I keep expecting to hear "RA RA AH AH AH, ROMA ROMA MA GAGA OOH LA LA"

  • me and my dad always jam to this station on long, boring roadtrips!

  • I feel sad after listening to that whole thing now.

  • @Trampboy931 Yeah, weird. Me too kinda, I actually feel kinda empty now, and had play it again for a bit in order to feel 'right', weird stuff.

  • @Trampboy931 A few of my friends and I said the same thing. Maybe that's the point? Experimental mood control.

  • @senseofcompletion I'll support that theory. It didn't make me sad, but I was uncomfortable and I felt really anxious, that and my eyes were watering, but that could just be the pitch

  • @senseofcompletion experimental mood control, you got to be kidding me. why would they transmit it over shortwave then and not somewhere where people can hear it and get influenced by it? also these waves are too high frequent to enter your brain and change your mood or something.

you're just creeped out by the unharmonics, trust me

  • can i tune in to this from panama city florida? if so, how?

  • @skiddlecrumms Yes, when its active - This recording was made after a long period of inactivity from this station. Youll need a shortwave receiver covering longwave up to 30MHz with single sideband, and a simple longwire aerial.

  • @Hanglands will i have to search for it or is thier a set frequency?
