Probably would be in the top 25 for me, and yes, it's hard to pick, but this is the best track in the game by a slim margin. Kudos to you for recognizing JFG's soundtrack on your list.
I love this game. I hope RARE makes a remake/sequel/something similar to this at some point. Its my fave 3rd person shooter. I originally rented it from blockbuster but went on to buy it from Funcoland (now called Gamestop). EPIC SOUNDTRACK.

JFG is way way underrated, dunno which big franchise took the public attention when it was released... the brilliant singeplayer super-long campaign... the extremely complete multiplayers mode... I cant believe it was not THE big hit of the decade on console :x
damnit the game was delayed 2 months to let the programmers polish the game !?!? Do you realize they let the devs finish it, such thing would NEVER happen nowadays ! We all miss the Rare from these early years... :'(
oh sh*t... i was searching for this game for like 2-3 years loll cuz my bro who played with me didn't remember there a playable mini-robot in Mission mode :3
Fuck this was a good game! How good was it once you got those three pieces to make that flying robot dude that chills with you and you could play cooperative with him. Seriously N64 was the greatest console of all time.
i got it around the age of 16 and its not a bad game. i think it needed it a little bit more of exposure. probably one of the best shooters on the n64. and yes its a little fucking hard but nothing impossible only remember dying like 10 times with the final boss.
Such an underrated game. I remember dying on the last boss years ago and never bothering to complete the game. Then I went through the whole game a few months ago and completed it. Collecting those ship parts and saving all the tribals took up 3/4 of the game.
@nooblet911 for your information, rare was pretty much fucked even before they got bought by microsoft, the stamper brothers ( the ones that started the company ) were leaving the company anyways and without them, no one would overwork the programmers into making excelent games, so yeah, rare, a dream for the gaming world, a hell for company employees
i can understand if its cause you were a kid but when i played it (age 11)i didn't have too much trouble searching.the game was fun enough with all the action.i also heard the bosses were hard to the point that the game had some rage quitters,i only lost to final mizar more than three times.he was hard actually i think i lost like 40 times, man i sucked.
i want to buy this game again.i lost my last copy but hell if I'm just gonna forget this game.
I REALLY should go back and try to finish this game. I only needed to get a few more tribals for that last damn piece to the ship and then I could get the last part.
R.I.P. JFG :( one of the best games on the 64 but not alot of people know about it, and i doubt rare will ever remake it, rare isnt what it used to be
They need to remake this game... Even though I've never beat the damn thing cuz I can't rescue all the Tribals to get the Stabilizer, which is needed to go to the final boss. >:(
I know what you mean. Those tribals were the worst to find. I'd encourage you to try it again, though now that you're older. That's how I ended up beating it (and it was totally worth it).
True, games that I played when I was younger are much easier now. I still thing games have gotten easier over the years, though.
But yea, hope this game gets re-released on Xbox Live Arcade. Either that, or I want a better controller cuz all my N64 control sticks are wobbly, so it's hard to run--they only wanna walk unless if I push Very hard in a direction.
But finding the Tribals wasn't that hard----it was the BS that happened when I'd waste hours to find the last ones & ant dudes kill em.
To be honest I've heard the part from 0:00 to 0:20 somewhere just can't remember the name of that tune. While i have to say 0:00 to 0:20 and 4:20 is really creepy.
i've never had much interest in this game, but by listening to this music, i have to agree... it probably has one of the greatest soundtracks... what a great song! maybe i'll play just because of this soundtrack
This Game has The Greatest N64 soundtrack!? I AM A PROUD OWNER of this Awesome Game >:)
