When Penn State plays their A-game, I think they could stop Crabtree and pull off a win over Texas Tech. However, with the way Penn State's been playing with that leather helmet era offense that's an insult to real "Spread HD" (nothing like what they ran earlier in the year), and that stupid prevent defense, I'm sure Texas Tech could beat that. It's simple, Penn State will do a run on first down, a draw or reverse on second, and a pass on third. It's sad really, PSU started off so good.

Texas reminds me of Miami in 1986. This does have all the makings of 1986 all over again. Penn State will go in with some great blowouts but some uncomfortably close games (Illinois, Ohio State) just like in 1986 with Maryland and Cincinatti. Texas will come in blowing out everyone. Then Penn State will win just like in 1986 against Miami. Colt McCoy will be picked off like Vinny Testeverde was. BTW, Beanie Wells ran all over national champ LSU last year. We held him to 55 yards on 22 carries.

I would love to see penn state win the nation championship game just for the sake of joe poterno since this could be his last season. However, I don't think they can hang w/ a big 12 team or a sec team this year in the nat. title game, but stranger things have happened.

lol Texas is #1 for a reason. Texas Tech is #7 for a reason. Texas Tech always has a good offense, the defense has been over rated since the pre-season and has not lived up to it's hype. Every Tech scores alot of points...but every year, TEXAS SCORES MORE POINTS! Texas has won the last 5 years vs. Tech, and it will be another win for Texas in lubbock. That's the way it's been since the pre-season, nobody respected Texas, and too many people blew up Tech's hype. But look who's #1 NOW!

I really think Tech has a chance to win due to Texas's young secondary and poor pass defense, which is worse than Kansas's (who we just OWNED on the road). Not to mention we have a much better running game and defense than in years past. But I have to admit Texas has looked very impressive this year, and Colt McCoy is playing extremely well. Y'all get the best recruits in the nation every year, so y'all should beat us no problem, but i think it's gonna be a great game!!

You have no defense, but Penn State lately has been playing lights out defense. Your offense is a little better than Penn State's, but Big 12 teams lately have had WAC tendancies with basketball scores. Yes, I know Penn State beat Ohio State with a 13-6 baseball score, but it was a big rivalry game, rivalry games are usually close. If your defense can't stop our offense, we score at least 40, while our defense holds you to maybe 28 or so points. Penn State wins 42-28 over Texas in the NCG.

It looked to me like the starters were in during much of the third quarter. But still, your second stringers shouldn't be gouged left and right. What if you have an injury? Will one of those subs be a weak link? Penn State's best win may have been over Ohio State (who your mighty Longhorns only beat by a field goal in 2005 before winning the national championship), but the second best win was a 45-14 win over an Oregon State currently tied for 1st in the Pac-10 and that beat USC.

I did, two or three weeks ago. And you weeks later reply to something that WAS relavent then and act like your comment really means anything except "I'm only going to make predictions that were in the past, and laugh like I'm high on laughing gas everytime someone misses one". Either your team is out of the mix or has a possible loss ahead. And I bet if I'm wrong, two weeks later you'll go "giggle giggle chortle, you actually guessed wrong, laugh laugh laugh".

But those who are saying Penn State would have gone 6-6 in the SEC or Big XII (not saying you said that, but it's been said) are as absurd as those who think Penn State could run up the score at will on Texas or Florida. I think the Big Ten is decent this year, second only to the Big XII. The SEC is down this year, despite what you may hear (for example, middle of the pack Vandy lost to Duke and higher ranked SEC team LSU nearly lost to Troy). But the Big East and ACC are the worst.

Penn State wouldn't last one half with Texas. I'm sorry, but the Big 10 is soft compared to the Big 12. Texas will run the tables and go to the NC game.

If they can get past Lubbock. That will be the best Tech team they've played yet. Could spoil their season. Penn State v. UT would be a horrible game. No contest. Too bad there's no playoff. All Southern schools would be in the top 25 where they belong. It's too cold to play football in the winter up North.
