  • i think noomi should've pplayed lisabeth in the american version

  • I'm American and I can't image Rooney playing this role better than Noomi. But I hope the American version is at least half as good as the Swedish version.

  • I am American and I can honestly say that the American version is gonna suck balls starting with the fact that the Lisbeth they chose does NOT have the same drive as Noomi Rapace!!! It is not going to be the same I know its a good director but he already fucked up with his choice of Lisbeths actress. FUCK YOU UNITED STATES.

  • @renegadeincogneto90 What will u say if u are wrong and it is good. Cause the funny thing about this adaptation is that at first people were opposed to it. Now they are saying that the swedish version sucks and this version will be good. Just try to keep an open mind.

  • shes the perfect Elizabeth!!

  • americans are going to mess it up for sure the original is always the best ,i watched all 3 already they are great

  • americans are goona mess it up for sure the original is always the best ,i watched all 3 already they are great

  • i don't like to pretend....well that's only slightly ironic coming from an actress

  • Argueably the best trilogy of novels this decade

  • i think Rooney is gunna do a fantastic job

  • I loved all 3 of these movies. I really enjoyed them. I've heard they were remaking for in American theater. I hope they don't mess it up. I really love the Swedish version. I also loved all 3 books. The girl who plays Lisbeth Salander is a great actress. Very talented young lady. Hope to see her in more movies.

  • she is so beautiful and charming! An amazing actress and I hope to see her in lots more movies :)

  • Noomi Rapace was offered the role in the remake but said no. She had already done the film was her reason. You can see her in sherlock holmes 2 with robert downey jr soon and she is asked by ridley scott to be in his new alien movie, so the movie really seemes to be what she needed for an international career. she is going to work a lot in america i suspect the coming years.

i am proud to be from sweden when i see Noomi doing so well.

  • I want Michael Nyqvist in UK version no Daniel Graig lol

  • i love this movie alot ... movies from difrent countries other than united states tend to be WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better

  • I really enjoyed the book but the movie certainly didn't do it any justice.

but then again I've always had a chip on my shoulder about swedish cinema, it always seems so... off.

  • OH. MY. DAMN! Noomi's such a beautiful woman...

  • @JR08620 Stupid American bigot, you wouldn't know good film if it slapped you with its dick. Just because it doesn't have an explosion in every scene, doesn't mean it is a bad film. Now is it the most inspirational film I've ever seen, No not by far, but its better than every convoluted, explosion filled, movie that Hollywood makes.

  • Nomiz is the best actor in sweden LOVE her <3 Hope shes playing the role in the us version aswell, cuz lets face it no one can make the role as gd as she can <33

  • She was one tuff bitch

  • I love the books and movies so much!! they're AWESOME

  • Ok well Janek7135226 if u hate the movies so much then why do u keep tlking about them? and not everything should be about hot women... so yeah if u hate the acting and everything stop bitching about it and get a life, there r other movies out there tht u can see if u like or not rather than dragging on about this one series.

  • did she actually have that old guys dick in her mouth?

  • How can you say there was bad acting?

I could never put Lisbeth and Noomi as the same person. Everything about her character was different from the actress. The was she dressed, hair, etc. She talks about how she delved into the character, also. That's called acting, imo.

  • @JR08620 yes i did and there great

  • @JR08620 omg how can u bloody say that

  • @JR08620 omfg what the hell are u on about the three movies are excellent Noomi rapeace is a great actress and i think she is a beautiful woman

  • can someone please upload this movie

  • There is no way the american version will be as brutal as the swedish.. They always cut away the best when they make an american remake.

  • @Mmmkp It won't even compare. Now that I've seen Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth, Nyquist as Blomkvist, and so on, it just can't be anybody else. Hollywood commercialises everything to disgusting lengths, and cannot produce a quality piece of film that corresponds to a book. Why not just release the originals in America? Americans don 't do subtitles, put simply.

  • @Mmmkp it is pretty brutal

  • @Mmmkp I actually hear the rape scene in the American version is more brutal.

  • So wait, she speaks perfect english and they didn't use her for the american remake?

  • @daiconv I know! I refuse to see anybody else in that role. Besides we will probably fuck that movie up over here anyway. The Swedes did it great, there's no point of a remake.

  • @cutes22 David Fincher has never fucked up a movie, so I think we'll be fine. The remake will most likely be better then the original.

  • I'm about 5 chapters from finishing the book and then I'm going to watch this, she plays Lisbeth so well it's amazing. I can't wait to watch this film after I finish the book.

  • fantastic movie ... great acting .the movie score also good.

  • My god Noomi is ADORABLE!!!

  • Saw this film a few weeks back. Fairly unhappy with it. Writer took out a lot of important parts of Larson's book and moved in some stuff from later in the series, understandably to keep the film better paced. But I also can't help but feel a lot of the removed material got cut out because the Swedish National Board of Censors would give it a prohibitied rating if it stayed in. Sad reality that even in Sweden, adaption is beholden to censorship.

  • @doc4725 I saw the film first and started reading the book last week. It's been near impossible to put it down. You can be certain that the US remake of the film will cut out a lot more "sex and violence" than the Swedish film already did. It's been almost 3 months since I saw it so I don't remember exactly what's different from the novel but was stricken by its honest graphic portrayal - it's a total European style movie, the way stories like these are supposed to be told.

  • One of those actors that can truly act and transform into someone altogether different.

Amazing movie. Don't remake them, please Hollywood.

  • Sad they would not promote this good movie in America, like many good films from over sea's. Hollywood feels Americans can not enjoy films not made in Hollywood, sad they feel the need to remake it just for Americans....

    Great film....

  • @nexusone1984 -It's not only being remade for Americans. It is being remade for all english speaking countries. The remake has an international cast,

  • @nexusone1984

They don't remake it because Americans don't want to watch films that aren't made in Hollywood, they remake it because Americans don't want to read subtitles. I'm Swedish - I'm used to subtitles. But Americans are not, and they are far too lazy to even bother.

  • @WoWKlump Don't judge all of us now. I'm American and I'm going to avoid this remake like the plague. I have so much more respect for foreign movies then I do for movies that are made over here.

  • @helloolleh555 Yes, of course, one should not generalize. But I'm speaking about most Americans. There are so many American movies that they never need to bother with subtitles unless they want too. I've grown up with subtitles so I don't even notice them anymore. My eyes watch the screen while my mind reads the subtitles.

  • thats the girl!?!?!? HOLY CRAP!!!

  • Ms. Rapace is gorgeous.

  • All of you so angry about an American remake are missing the point. They're re-making the movie, not re-writing the books. This story deserves the biggest audience it can get and an American version of the movie will give it that. Besides, David Fincher is the one who'll be re-making this film, not Steven Spielberg or Ron Howard. Fincher is the mind responsible for films like Seven, Fight Club, and Zodiac. Both Fight Club and Zodiac were based off of books and both stayed true to the source.

  • @nathanhlt its not a remake but a reinterpation of book into a movie. it could easyly go into a different direction.even still i feel it could have been a better movie with a different director.far to many unneccessary scenes, and only in the youth parts did i get a feel of mental issues.

  • What can you do! The acters are great!

  • How can you beat the swedich carackters? Sorry for the spelling!

  • This movie rocks. BTW, does anybody else than me think it's funny that the actor who plays Mikael Blomkvist has the name Mikael Nykvist? xD (Spell fail)

  • @Niobesnuppa

No, that has been a very funny thing to joke about around here in Sweden ;D

  • I think I'll go see the movie today

  • I don´t understand why this film was up for Cannes, I mean come on!

  • I really hope they are kidding about an English speaking remake....

  • @EdvardsMadonna I heard they are...and It hurts my heart.

  • @jackerooskie i think like u. the swedish version is the best and they will do it wrong.

  • I saw this last night at the AFI Silver. A very good film. The rape scene was very disturbing though. It could have been less graphic and still worked in the story line.

  • I saw the movie this evening..the so called critics got this movie very wrong as I found it to be very enjoyable and am looking forward to the next one

  • Saw this today. I thought it was first class. I would highly recommend it. Andy :)

  • Just haven't met anybody before that doesn't have the same opinion as me....

  • Defintiely recommend this movie. The books are too complicated to read.

  • @minelise If you think those books are to complicated, then you need to go back to school...

  • @lehnrik Agreed. Ironically enough though (considering the context) it's not "to" but "too".

  • @lehnrik Interesting you should say that because here in america, high school is pretty basic and even if you are an outstanding student, there were words in the book that was considered college level. However, it wasnt complicated to get. I can see some students who attend urban low funded, under-performing schools might not fully get this

  • @minelise LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    ARE U AMERICAN OR SOMTHING?

IM FUCKING 12 AND UNDERSTOOD EVERY LAST PAGE,

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
