  • I like this guy, he may have not hung the caliper like you should but generally speaking he is a very good mechanic and an excellent instructor. I almost always look for how-to advise on this channel and I always find him to be clear, concise and well spoken. for the average person with an average set of tools you can really cut down on your auto expenses by learning from him. Side note; I'm sure that the people who are negatively bashing this this guy have never made a mistake before...right?!

  • being a CCTV operator, you could use more lighting on your videos.

  • aint shit wrong with my monitor trick. you can see it great cause your all up on the damn thing.. so fuck off your video is useless

  • i dont think your supposed to let the caliper hang like that at 0:53

  • pay your electricity bill so i can see what the fuck your doing

  • @TheFhernan123 get a better monitor. i can see it great.

  • This was lame. It's dark as hell and he removed 2 17mm bolts. Wow.

  • Stop calling out socket sizes.

  • how do these videos end up on something called expert village? caliper hanging???

  • LOL as the caliper just sways in the wind

  • Proper!

  • WTF did he just do...?

  • This is something I noticed..........You have no fucking clue what your doing enough said!!

  • You can't please some people, make an instructional video or usful stuff, put in in the net for free and still people moan. Although I do think they should give some air time the safety issues, safe jacking and asbesto inhalation.

  • secure the brake caliper next time

  • why doesn't expert village use Pt 1,2 etc as it looks from the comments a lot of people seem to think this vid is all there is

  • because they are donkies

  • I must "warn" you the word is "worn", not warn. ha ha

  • lol good it found it helpful becasue im inexperienced and wanting to learn about cars. His target audience is for people like me and not average "mechanics" like you Lillie1986.

  • here is a good tip for you if you are just starting out about cars. if you do any maintainence yourself that requires you to take off the brake caliper(if u have disc brakes) DO NOT let the caliper hang by the hose like he did. it can damage the brake hose and they can be a pain to replace. trust me when i say that brake calipers weigh a lot more than they look.

  • The average person does NOT have airtools and in this economy not the finances to purchase them compared to a wrench set and tray. If you don't like it then make your own video showing the same thing with airtools.

  • hahahahahahahahh watta fool!!

  • @z28com the country is in a recession cause they dont have air tools?

  • @z28com

actually its corporate greed that's causing a recession you dumbass.

  • this SUCKS

  • expertvillage sucks

  • Amen!

  • Doesnt this guy have airtools. Itd take forever like this in everything he does

  • Does the average person have airtools? lol

  • Id count myself as average and I do :P

But anyways my point was that anyone can loosen a screw or a nut. You dont really have to show us that.

  • lol i was thinking the same thing!

  • How about a 2003 toyota corolla? I have auto tranny driver side bolt on control arm wont come out it hits auto pan. Is there a way to raise the autotranny or lower the subframe a little bit to give it a tug. I just took wheel off, undid the sway bar on one side. Am i missing something to get this sucker out?

  • Buy a repair manual for your car...... it will tell... (alldata)

  • Somedata

  • sweet, but dont forget to wash the hands :P

  • turn on the lights

  • I noticed that while you're doing this you're letting brake caliper hang by the brake line and the CV joint haning without being supported. These things you may want to hang with some thing such as zip ties so they arn't damaged. Brakelines are easily damaged when letting the caliper hang on them and if the CV joint gets bumped it could make fixing your vehicle much worst off!

  • thanks for the tip!
