  • Whats the best type of blade to for this work

  • @MsMark666666

The man told us in the intro. A three tooth per inch, aggressive blade. Preferably a 'skip-tooth' and probably as wide as your bandsaw can handle.

  • @MsMark666666 I run the widest blade my saw will take, with an aggressive tooth pattern. Something in the range of 3 or 4 tpi is good. Thanks. George.

  • How long would i need to let it air dry? Say Oak.

  • @AReptileMan A general rule of thumb is one year of drying per inch of thickness of material.

  • @wwgoaeditor Would desert (say southern NV / AZ) take less time?

  • @projekt89130 Yes, if ambient humidity is lower, the material will dry faster. Still, you want to maintain control so it doesn't dry too fast.

  • kinda hard to do with a 9" saw, isn't it? 3 7/8 depth on it.
