  • Nerds

  • I think I laughed so hard I almost died when I watched this episode.

  • I'd like to see him do the same thing in Huttese!

  • That wasn't Gobbledegook, Mr. Rabbi ._.

  • How very honorable to be blessed in Klingon. :O

  • We've found a new Cantor.

  • Dang, I wish my Dad woulda blessed me like that at my Bar Mitzvah . . .

  • klingon makes everything 20% cooler

  • Is The big bang theory?

  • I love this episode HAHAHA!!! :oD

  • What kind of stupid no life geek dweebs would waste their lives learning a fictitious language like Klingon, when they should be learning the Tolkien Elvish languages instead?!

  • @bluestucco Why not learn both!

  • @bluestucco Just learn both! They're both fully-constructed languages.

  • @bluestucco

NOOOOOO!! They must learn Na'vi! AVATAR FTW!

  • @bluestucco Valid point!

  • Spoken like a true Klingon....lol

  • haha, this is hilarious!! I speak a little klingon and a little bit of hebrew, which is what I think he is trying to speak!!! lol

  • I would agree with some on this: ferengi are waaay more like Jews than klingons.

  • The actor playing the Rabbi is trying so hard not to laugh...love it!

  • This was the funniest bit, I was literally crying...the kid in the audience made the whole bit.

  • ROFLMTO

  • I cant stand Frasier, but that was pretty good

  • Well Michael Dorn did once say the ability to speak Yiddish helps in speaking Klingon.

  • a men!

  • his pronunciation is actually pretty good. the mistake most people make when speaking klingon is they forget too add the amount of force behind the words. klingon are a vary rough, powerful, people and there speech reflects that. he did vary well consitoring he didn't realize what he was speaking. =)

  • PO ACK!

  • Fraiser needs to drink some Romulan Ale now!

  • heh, a blessing is a blessing

  • what is the name of this episode?

  • sounds a bit like hebrew, no? just saying...

  • nuqneh!

  • Is it correct that there is now a formula Klingon dictionary? If so dose anyone know if there are any people that are fluent in the language and if so what the numbers are?

  • Gibberish? The FOOL.

  • Rabbi says it is gibberish!?

    PataQ!!!

  • According to some Klingon speaking fellows at Klingon.org, this is what he said:

    puqloDwI' le' qaHo' ▲

Hoch jaj choq cho'avmo' 'ach lenglIj lutebjaj lengwIjvaD bel rap ▼ Sov 'e' Danobbej po' 'oH bo'agh ▲

  • @HAISPAM umm, yeah, so what did he say??! as in what does it mean?? duh i know what he said i just heard it!....

  • @bigabs18281 It's essentially a loose translation of the speech he gives earlier in the episode.

"My dearest son, each day you redeem me.

May your journey be filled with the same joy, wisdom, and purpose you have given mine."

I didn't add that because he says it earlier in the episode.

  • Hilarious!!! Hebrew / Klingon what's the diff? It's all gobbledygook to me.

  • The joke is that they sound so similar.

  • that little kid who stands up and says "thats not gibberish its klingon" is awesome

  • Qapla.

  • Jewish humour in Klingon! Classic.

  • I always thought it would have been funny if they didn't say he was gonna speak Klingon before this, yknow for the unexpectedness.

  • Next Sideshow Bob appearance on the Simpsons should have him speak in Klingon.

  • OK that was awesome :)

  • I think the actor who played Frasier is a RL trekkie. :)

  • @karkovice10 Kelsey Grammer(Fraiser) even had a small role as a Federation Captain in a Next Generation episode. The one with the causality loop and the number 3.

  • @Stealtht6 Yes! I knew about that! Saw that episode a few times... But who knew he could actually speak Klingon!? I thought it was so funny first time I saw it. :)

  • In the next war there will be code talkers. Instead of Navajo they will speak Klingon.

  • @rexports: Hell Yeah! As a Navajo, I totally want to see that now!!

Move aside Navajo Code Talkers and make way for Klingon Code Talkers!

  • @rexports Problem, there IS a Klingon dictionary. Navaho had the advantage of not having one readily available.

  • and its still much more easy to speak then hebrew

  • 43 people have smooth foreheads.

  • Kaplah!

  • mughom.wikia.com/wiki/Frasier - The English version: "My dearest son, each day you redeem me. May your journey be filled with the same joy, wisdom, and purpose you have given mine."

A literal translation is: "My very special son: Every day you honour me. May the same pleasure, the same knowledge and the same goal which you have given to my journey fill your journey."

  • @KringleOfBorg

That's a decent blessing made 10x better in klingon.

  • If I remember correctly - everything he says actuially translates perfectly into Klingon and IS a kind of 'blessing'. The writers actually consulted someone and got it right.

    - The Klingon Music Lover

  • klingon motherf*cker do you speak it

  • @thegreenghost1000 I DARE you to say Qapla again!

  • @cranie4 what is Qapla mate?

  • @tina6581 It means "Success" as a blessing given from one to another. Sort of like a VERY strong "Good Luck".

  • @cranie4 Thank you mate. :-)

  • @thegreenghost1000 hahahaha

  • I think being blessed in klingon is the greatest honor to be bestowed upon a human!

  • Missed that ep : )

  • I love this episode. This is proof that Star Trek is part of our culture.

  • He was great :D

  • this is why they should bring frasier back, it was subtley amusing, wasn't to forced on like todays bullshit they pass for sitcoms

  • This wins.

  • 41 people are Romulans.

  • majQa'

  • i feel like alot of virgins have laid eyes on this page..

  • @rocklobsta1415 LOL - good one! (Although I am a Trekkie, I take no offense)

  • You'd have to be a true trekkie to understand this whole thing. :]

  • Even worse, it could be Esperanto!

  • PERKELE! LOL!

  • They must be pretty insulted by Frasiers' belief that Hebrew sounds like Klingon. Granted it kind of does.

  • What television show is that from and what episode?

  • @melcyone Fraiser

  • wish i could say that down the pub.

  • @brybish oh and i like startrek.

  • bahahaha

  • lol!!

  • It could have been worse, it could have been Ferengi.

  • Comment removed

  • @RichardSwayne if you think about it stereotypically, a Ferengi blessing would have been appropriate LOL

  • @trier4952 Which of the Rules of Acquisition would that be? Never let family stand in the way of profit?

  • @RichardSwayne

lol I don't think there's anything complimentary you can say in Ferengi. Not sincerely anyway.

  • @RichardSwayne

    LOL!!

  • @RichardSwayne

    Or finnish

  • @RichardSwayne Or, of course, Vogon poetry.

  • @crumbinator Now... that wouldn't exactly be a blessing, right?

  • @RichardSwayne ...or raining.

  • @RichardSwayne *Implying that Ferengi are like Jews*

  • @MasterAdam100 *Implying they aren't*

  • Remember that Frasier (Kelsey) appeared on an episode of Star Trek the Next Generation some years back!

  • @ACLTony Yeah, I think as Captain of a starship that had been caught in a time loop for 70 some years. It was the starship that kept colliding with the Enterprise, which then blew up over and over as the time loop repeated itself until Data figured out the right way to avoid the collison.

  • @Tune4you - Yes, that's it! I had forgotten the details of that episode. That was a good one.

  • @Tune4you USS Bozeman (Don't ask me how I remember that)

  • Who ever agrees that frasier is one of the best shows please add me as a frien and message me

  • Classic scene.

  • What was the context of this? Did he mistakenly look at a Klingon dictionary or something?

  • @fearguis No his work mate (Nole) got mad with him and gave him a translation in Klingon which he thought was Jewish.

  • @fearguis He pissed of a co worker who would make a jiddisch speech for him,and so that co worker made a Klingon speech ;-)

  • @fearguis Sorry, just seen you had the answer alreaddy given ;-)

  • Who ever likes or loves frasier please add me as a friend and message me ,

  • OMG that was funny

  • Love it :)

  • i did`nt know frasier was a yid..!

  • Trust the kid to know

  • Fuckin' Star Trek

  • Experience BIJ!!!

  • I think KLINGON should be a mandatory language taught in school!

  • @lelia72 & for economics we read from the Ferangi book of "Rules of Acquisition"

  • @lelia72 It's better than Spanish.

  • @DavidRossThompson Mucho mejor que el inglés.... XD

  • @DEADKERNEL Que esta zezeando?

  • @lelia72 dude ur such a geek (not a nerd ..a geek)

  • @lelia72 LOL xD

  • @lelia72 Klingon should be the language taught around the world!

  • @lelia72 no please, i have enough with spanish , english and japanese!

  • @lelia72 sure and pack it with abstinence education

  • How did Frasier obtain Klingon writing? Did he write it himself? If someone could elaborate for me, considering I haven't watched this episode.

  • @TootieFrootiesClown one of his coworkers who happens to be a Trekkie fan was upset with Frasier for backing out of going to a convention with him.The Trekkie Fan is also Jewish-and when Frasier told him he had to give a speech at his son's Bris, the Trekkie fan wrote out a "Hebrew" speech for him to read....lol I love this episode!

  • @lelia72 Oh, lol thanks

  • we all know what he was saying

"submit to god or i will continue to embarrass you in Klingon"

  • It's ALWAYS the geeky guy with the glasses that spots the Klingon talk. Funny, nevertheless.

  • There's a young woman sitting in the back at 0:36 who seems to get it and thinks it's pretty funny.

  • So.......does the Klingon Rite of Ascension come after this?

  • I LOVE the Rabbi's reaction, hehe.

  • Fraiser is Jewish?

  • @themole90 Kllingons are Jewish?

  • @themole90 he isn't, but his son is.

  • @themole90

No, which is why he doesn't realize he's speaking Klingon instead of Hebrew

  • @themole90 Frasier(Kelsey once played a Klingon in a ST episode, he,s a major ST fan ;-)

  • @Choefoe do you recall the episode name and/or number id like to see it

  • @danlovejoy20 Me too,I have no idear, lost in ST world ,I guess we can google it.Maybe I,ve seen it already without even knowing it was him;-) I searched for it on tube Kelsey in startrek or as klingon but no result. Or my info must be wrong but I heard it or red it I don,t know, but one thing is for sure Kelsey is a ST fan and has no problem with his Klingon;-) He did it before I guess

  • @Choefoe i looked it up on imdb, the only star trek credit he has is as captain bateson in tng episode cause and effect, from 1992

  • @danlovejoy20 And that was not a Klingon? does not sound like a Klingon name, but if it is then it,s enough. As fffar as I knew it was just one episode but as a Klingon;-) Can you confirm that tnx ;-)

  • @themole90 no

  • kapla!

  • funny :-)

  • It's not Giberish, it's Klingon.

  • Gotta love that the bespectacled kid just magically knows it's Klingon. Not that I plan to deny the Geek stereo-type (I make passes at geeks in glasses) but...seriously?

  • @Shifterred I wear glasses, do tech training and yes, I'm a geek and love Star Trek and Stars Wars.

  • @Eagle027 I'm not saying the stereotype isn't a valid one. I just thought it was amusing. :)

  • 0.35 JAP BIL RAPTT. Hahahaha.

  • Had me laughing hysterically.

  • Best. Frasier. Ever. XD
