  • @justforever96 1987 film. You not seen it?

  • Long live the Mini!

  • @Mthtmty Agreed! I hated it. I flinch and cringe whenever a car gets hurt.

  • What was this building?

    , Italian Opera house, Museum?

    Being built?

  • Rebbeca black should have been in the red mini being pushed off the cliff.

    Bye bye minis D: :(

  • i really want one of these classic minis a true car!! although i would have to drive it through my local shopping centre at some point, would be totally worth it

  • here are my top 5 dream cars

    5)1969 Dodge Charger

    4)1967 Pontiac GTO

    3)1959 Mini

    2)1973 Corvette Stingray

    1)1967 Shelby GT500

  • @JimbobHarrigan1984

    3. has got to be a 1959 Morris Mini-Minor, the better of the two, better built.

  • the scenes are mixed up!

  • Is that how the movie really ends? LOL, that really sucks! I saw that coming too. I was thinking, shit, if I was on a getaway through windy, dangerous mountain roads, I WOULDN'T be driving a damn bus like it was a Mini! They should have at least each grabbed a few packs of gold, or formed a relay before they all moved to the front of the bus...each stack they moved would help balance it.

  • @justforever96 It is science's greatest questions: how the hell do you get off the bus without killing everyone and how do you get the gold off the bus?

    Greatest movie ending ever.

  • @TheMikeyReilly Well, scientifically speaking, I'd have everyone except one guy get as FAR to the end of the bus as possible. Then he can slowly sneak down, and start bringing back bricks, one at a time. Every brick he brings back helps the center of balance move back, until he can carry two at a time. That's like 1,000lbs or more of gold there. I'd like to think of that as the end. Or they could just all jump off at once, let the bus go, and then climb down and recover them that way!

  • @justforever96 This is exactly what they did in The Italian Job 2.

  • @onlywhenpissed There's an Italian Job 2? You're not talking about the remake, are you?

  • hang on lads ive got an idea....errr...

  • lol from 01:30to01:32

  • 0:00 to 06:50 is the best :D

  • 1 Scot disliked the video. ENGLISH PRIDE

  • this is by far the best car chase in film.

  • evergreen movie ..... i have seen it when i was 18 ....... but still remember most of it .........

  • The Fiat Car Factory in Turin has a race track on its roof. This was used in the chase when they go three abreast at 3:42. You can also see the track on google earth.

  • @MrSteveCushman : The test track is still there and can be used from time to time. The factory is now a huge complex for exhibitions, shopping, movie theatres etc.

  • there should have been a sequel so we can see what happened

  • This film rules the world!

  • i like the film

  • Love this Classic Movie! Talk about a cliff hanger!

  • Greatest car chase scene by far.

  • @ebf1957 Certanly is! :D

  • 8:05 Oh noes, nigga can't make a damn turn!!

  • hi there ...........

  • I dont get it, this supposed to be future or something?

I mean they did race some insane race track on the rooftops with a huge gap..

  • nooooooo 07:00 poor mini =((((((((

  • 3 little british minis and the worlds best stunt driver remi julien still to this day the best car chase in a movie ever the sewer bit was filmed in a new sewer near coventry remi did try and get the mini all the way over 3 times but lack of grip stoped this from what i here he did do it on a bike tho at the end of this chase the guy standing at the top of the ramp waveing the cars in to the bus was peter collinson the director of the film !

  • I wonder if the minis they pushed are still there... What's left of them, I mean.

  • @richardmaudsley77 : some of the debris where left there for ages, despite the produced telling they did their best to clean the area. I grew up in the area, saw some of the scenes being filmed, and went with my dad trying to collect some of the Mini leftover. However, these weren't real Minis, but just mockups. I may have still some piece of it around my dad's place.

  • @signorellil They were real minis. Just not coopers.

  • yeah, they also spun the car in the sewer, it was missed in this.

  • Im sure on my dvd when they pass the wedding they shout goodluck as they pass :S Might just be cos the musics on in this clip.

  • the roof tops outa sink with the sewer,,lol

  • soooooooooooo much of this film has been copied

    like the "cliff hanger"

  • mini coopers own lol

  • italian job in german lolololol never

  • great film

  • My dad loves this. got him the 40th anniversary edition DVD for Christmas

  • can you guys believe fiat? had a race track on top of a building? lol

  • Fiat also provided the 124 model to the old Soviet Union. BTW the wait was 5 to 10 years for a car

  • @alexander1485 : when it was built in the 1920's the Lingotto factory was world most advanced. The test track is still there and can be used, but the factory is now a huge multiplex (with shopping arcades, theatres, exhibition halls etc)

  • hard to imagine this came out 40 years ago

  • @frankd1965 yeah mate so right !

  • the best mini's chase scene ever

  • They let the petrol run out, the balance shifted their way, they got off. Probably with the gold.

  • They got it off or they died, simple. The bus was balancing with the men acting as counter balances to the gold. No way they could have all got out the door before it fell.

  • Some scientists held a competition to find out some ways of how it could be done. Like one man gets out, gathers rocks to place under the bus (The bus has a very small platform below it) or get as much weight as possible on the back and pass the gold back one by one. Maybe by throwing. Google it.

  • Even if they did get the gold out of the coach they would still have a problem getting away.

  • So, what happened next? Did they throw the Gold out of the bus or took it to the back?

  • The original script was to have a helicopter come over and save them. They tried a test shoot but the downdraft from the chopper was so great that the bus nearly fell off the edge of the cliff. The producer ran up and grabbed hold of the bumper to try and stop it :P

  • NO WAY! you're kidding... really!? so I'm guessing the producer thought he was superman for a second and believed he could balance the bus again :D that could have been something if the bus fell with the actors inside.... uh *sigh* ha :)

  • As mad as it sounds, it happened. (Altho the bus was empty at the time) He said it in an interview for the anniversary VHS. It was a knee jerk reaction because if the bus had fallen they wudnt have been able to afford another one.

  • That's good news, I guess.

And happy to know that at least someone hasn't forgotten about VHS. I appreciate it. :D

  • Italian translation they should be on the road
