haha, D minor, i have a suspicion this could be kriss' favourite key, he has another vid on here entitled ' Kriss Norris Dvd', i sat down for bout 5 hours one night, figured it out, it got me an A for my guitar practical assesment i had to play at school, it was in D minor too hehe

@etwygwe Its all in the tunning usually (especially in contemporary music) the minor key will be the lowest note on the accessible; So that u can pedal off the relative minor.

so, since Kris uses a droped tuning most of the time, he will be in Dm, if you use a standard tuned guitar you'd be in Em and if your using a 7 string then you'd be in Bm etc. BUT u dont have to do that, but its a good idea to use that method :B

@WilliamBonneau Thanks dude, yehh when i play i muck around with a variety of keys, but what you just said explains why a large majority of metal is written in Dm and Em keys, thanks for the cool info dude:) good to see people helping each other on here instead of pooning the shit out of each other like you see on alot of guitar vids:)

@leckal That particular solo does but their songs overall on the new album just don't have that same melodic pull that the past albums do.
