Fantastic commentator, very down to earth and friendly, plus very knowledgeable and passionate for football and sport in general. He used to live in the next road to me up until the 1970s I think, and his son is a top musician and business man.

Martin Tyler, Brian Moore (RIP!) (with Ron Atkinson), Alan Parry and Peter Brackley are my all time faves.
John Helm is not so good . . . . not sure how many times he says the words "surely it's over" (or something like it) with PLENTY of time left or how many times he says goals "come from absolutely nothing". And there are countless other ridiculous things he says too.
This guys commentating makes watching football more enjoyable. Especially in big games.
