  • Alright so my workout partner and I tried this workout tonight and I must say I love it. I sweated like I never sweated before. We started out kinda light in the front end due to not knowing what 50reps would feel like. But I made up for it by my 10reps when I jumped up in weight then I kept the weight high on the way back down. This was intense forsure and the burn was crazy. The pump I had afterwards was amazing from all the blood. A must try workout...... thanks Team Grenade!!!

  • @kojac40 because he wants to keep the tension on the chest and not on the triceps very much (as he explains 18:22-18:39 ) . remember that an important point in bodybuilding is time under tension also thats why hes doing that many reps trying to keep that tension the most time posible to destroy those mucle fibers.

  • i was thinking bout doing dtp for 3wks straight then regular training for the last wk of the month. total of 12wks in all! then back to my regular workout. including it every once in awhile is this a good idea?

  • The DTP workout is done to a max of 3 weeks to prevent overtraining but in this workout for chest and back, it does only 2 exercises. Does it means that the DTP can only be done for 2 exercises of 10 sets? Can I add more variety of exercises so that there will be 3 different sets of exercises of 10 sets each for DTP?

  • if you go through the 12 week videos the last few days he talks a lot about dtp he says what he does after he does 3 weeks of dtp, is he will take a week off and then he will pick a muscle group once a week or so and do dtp on that day and change it up every week. If your are just getting into training i wouldn't recommend doing dtp it requires a lot of energy and cardio capacity you need to eat right or you will throw up and waste your time

  • @overended101 a maximum of three weeks straight is plenty, it takes the body a long time to recover.

  • I did Kris DTP workout and it's no joke. You have to be mentally focus to do this workout.

  • @alohenusernameprosm youve got me checking now! 50 +40+30+20+10 += 150 then the same again all the way back up is 300 total per bodypart so 600 total for chest + back. I think thats right lol!

  • @buymeamic give it a try but stay within your limits. You'll be sore afterwards!

  • @buymeamic no i recomend you do half a DTP so i start with alower wieght go up to 50 then up the weight and go to 40 and keep repeting till you gte to 10 reps with a really high weight and then do a drop set to do 10 reps with a high weight and lower the weight but keep doin 10 reps

  • Finally I see someone going through this "Dark place" of DTP ;). IT takes a strong mind & will to get through it but it's worth it. And yes.. it can be done without a partner but it's an even darker place you're venturing into ;).

    Anyone tried combining DTP and FST-7? Not in the same workout but let's say 1st week FST-7 and then 2nd week DTP?

  • @alohenusernameprosm Yes i have been doing it for 3 weeks now and been getting amazing results with it.wen i started i was 77kgs nd now im 70kgs and starting 2 get leaner..ive also used this method on my clients who r 2 getting good results

  • WOW Shane, they really put you through the ringer with this DTP workout, but I think you stepped up to the challenge and performed like a true champion!

  • the curl / skull-crusher combo is killer! i do it and i really like the round look it gets, its just tough to maintain because of the volume of people at my gym so the right weights are usually not there so i have to improvise

  • @grenadefatburner hey one more question mate, i'm training 5 days a week, 1; chest, 2; back, 3; arms, 4; shoulder, 5; legs&abs.. when should i throw in the dtp program?

  • @gtgshopping you can buy Kris' book, Body By Design, which will explain more, but you can throw the DTP in once a month to shock your body.
