  • Beautiful! :)

  • 16 or 18 fps?

  • Hi, excuse my delay in replying. It was shot at 24fps.

  • And how you digitalized it?

  • Hi, thank you for your comments. I used a company in London to develop the film and another company to do the digital transfer. No adjustments were made to the image so the movie you see is the same as the super 8 film.

  • Great man! How did you deelope the film? I'm also interested in such kind of things)))

  • beautiful, the music too. what is the piece of music called?

  • erik satie gnossienne n1... pretty cool right.

  • Mosh918 beat me to answering your question - yes, it is a great piece of music. Thanks for your comment. I hope to complete some more this summer.

  • I was meaning to ask who the pianist was. Is it Alexandre Tharaud or Ahmet B.Kafali?

  • If only reality looked that nice :-) good choice of music too.

  • Thanks Taids for taking the time to comment, - Isn't the purpose of "art" to present how life could be and ought to be? :)

  • ektachrome 64T is the best!

  • Danke Tromaggot! This film was shot with a Russian super 8 camera but Germany made the best Super 8 cameras ( Braun) but not all models accept the 64T.

One day Tromaggot will be a big star! ( On film not video)

  • but film is so fucking more expensive

  • bravo!

    nothing like film ;)

  • Was this 24P?

  • Hi, yes it was shot at 24fps. Thanks for the comment.

  • Brilliant, love it. Super-8 is so much fun.

  • Film is truly beautiful! Can't wait to get my hands on a 8mm

  • A truly moving, poignant piece of film.

  • Thank you Brenton. I hope to complete some more super 8 filming soon, I've been side-tracked by other projects over the last year. I just love the quality and feel of film.

  • how much did processing cost to transfer it from film to digital?

  • look it up

  • im looking to buy one of these at the moment

i want to use it for stop motion animation and the sorts..

i wasnt really looking for anything in particular at first, but then i saw the quality and colours this camera can produce, and now i've fallen in love with it.

with spring mechanism and single frame, this camera seems like the perfect choice for me.

plus digital just doesnt feel as "real" to me.

  • Hi, if you were in Europe I'd offer you one of mine I have spare and boxed. But sending to the USA will be expensive as its not that light and will need to go through US customs.

  • erik satie^^

  • Thank you so much, mate. I truly appreciate it. I live in Kiev, so I have the opportunit to buy such a camera at a flea market. I just got a "Neba" and I am itching to try it. Thanks again, and keep up the excellent work.

By the way, how did you transfer?

  • I paid for professional transfer - I didn't actually watch the process.

  • Excellent work, man! Do you recommend the Quarz camera? How did you transfer? good stuff. Whoever is the pianist gives a very subtle rendition of Satie.

  • Thanks! Yes, I do recommend the Quarz. The problem with these cameras is that there was no quality control, so there are "duds" around. You need to look around. I bought new on ebay from Russia, I was lucky. I have two. They are great to use, totally manual so you have real control and the lenses are sharp. The meter is accurate and the fps appear correct. They are built like tanks! I had professional telecine done on this film.

  • I do like you but faster. If you watch my film Free°language for instance. Tschuss

  • Excellent work!

  • Very dreamlike. Great little film

  • lovely! may i ask what song is this?

  • Thank you. The music is by Satie, Gnossienne No.1

  • a great day film!

  • I own three of these cameras and they offer the best bang for the buck!

  • A beautiful film. Shows both the camera and the film-stock at their best.

  • this is great footage

I had shot some similar stuff at Warwick Castle a few years ago which I should put up on here!

  • sweet! was wonderin.did you use a filter for this outdoor shot?

  • Hi, Pasgro. Thanks. Yes, I used ND filter.

  • I really love the look you've achieved on this film! Did you also use the camera's daylight filter? Do you know which ND filter you used, I looked into them and it looks like there's a few to choose from.

  • Hey, thank you. I used the ND filter that came with the camera marked H-4. I hope to make some more "mini movies" with the camera now the weather is starting to improve.

  • Cool thanks!

  • Great camera isn't it? I just picked one up for £2! Please see my super8 and 16mm films, some are hand processed, and some are home telecine.

  • Hey, Sorry I have been inactive for a while. Yes, I agree - the camera is great fun. Rugged and I love the manual aspects for exposure and films. I enjoyed your films too.

  • Nice little vignette of a sunny day in the English countryside.
